March 2, 2017 Blind Gossip

[Blind Gossip] This athlete got a lot of attention for not standing up. With his fat salary and the encouragement of his girlfriend, he felt empowered to express his opinion.

Now that he’s out of a job, though, he’s suddenly softened his position on a topic to which he was extremely committed. Did this mean his morality has shifted?

Someone in the executive offices of a professional sports team provided us with some insight:

Don’t believe anything you read about why he’s doing this. He is lying lying lying!!! If anything, he has become MORE angry and MORE militant in his beliefs over the past year. That girlfriend of his has a lot to do with it. She really gets him riled up.

The truth is he’s been told that the only way he’s going to get hired is to publicly shut it. If he wants a job and money and a platform for his cause, he needs to STFU for a while. So he’s laying low and doing whatever he has to do to get himself an offer.

There are a bunch of teams that won’t even look at him, so I don’t know if his little scam is going to work. Somebody might pick him up. Just know that he hasn’t changed his thinking. He is just LYING about it to get a job!

Only a dummy of a team would hire Kaepernick. His stunt has cost the NFL significant amounts of viewership and any team that hires him deserves to lose money.

Kolin Krapernick who has knelt his way out of the NFL. He fooled no one but himself. He started kneeling so the 49ers wouldn’t cut him. He had to make himself relevant since he stinks on the field. Now the shoe is on the other foot and he will never play pro football in the NFL again. There’s always the CFL.

    Athlete: Colin Kaepernick
Of course he’s saying he will stand for the National Anthem, he doesn’t want to be oppressed by unemployment..

He’s been on my favorite NFL team his entire career. While i don’t appreciate the distraction to the team its caused, he is entitled to his opinion. I would welcome him back at a hefty pay cut considering the 49ers have no other qb under contract and the draft and free agency doesn’t have much in the way of QBs to choose from.

  16. blossipguesser says

    March 2, 2017 at 5:26 pm

The reason Kaepernick won’t find a team isn’t because of his personality, many teams have put up with more difficult people than him because of their talent. He’s out of the NFL because he’s a lousy quarterback.

  17. nudibee says

    March 2, 2017 at 5:18 pm

No, I wouldn’t want him on any team.

    Colin Kaepernick.

In the end now that he’s a free agent when the going gets tuff…he gets going….but the NFL isnt fooled. Too little too late. He left people like Carmelo Anthony & Lebron James for example to continue to lead the fight on their own.
He dumped the cause all in the quest for the highest bidder…plus rumor has it “allegedly” his girlfriend is a pain in the a** & had a role in him dropping this. Im sure her reason wasn’t financially motivated…(rolls eye’s)

I would not want him infecting my team with his negativity, BUT, if he were on my team, on my time, he WOULD stand for the national anthem, or he would be out of a job! Stay away from KC!!!!

  21. Lebowski says

Glad Kaepernick is *leaving* my team … good riddance.
(Not a fan of his kneeling, but he cant read a defense or find a receiver that is why I am glad he is leaving SF.)

  22. kelno19 says

    March 2, 2017 at 5:05 pm

Kaepernick. Given his football performance, no. If he played better, they’d give him a pass on the kneeling. I wonder if he puts his money where his mouth is and is doing something to help?

No, don’t want him on my favorite team…nor will I watch if he’s on an opposing team. Tough S$!#% for him. He and all the other celebrities (athletes included) can protest on their time. No mine nor my dollar.

My only hope is that Eric Reid and Brandon Marshal will take note. Everyone is welcome to have an opinion and welcome to vote, however I and EVERY PERSON I KNOW is sick of everything being politicized. I have to go put away MY soap box now! 🙂

Kaepernick and his girl friend Nessa Diab. I hope she is worth it, because at his talent level (less than average NFL QB) he will lose millions. A high risk back up or fill-in QB is not worth the hassle/ bad p.r.

Optional: No, he seems like an attention seeker and unprofessional. People should be able to speak up about whatever they want, but not at “work” aka the football field. If I was his teammate, I’d worry that he’s too concerned with his protest and all the negative attention than winning the game.

It’s sad that more people were probably disgusted by his not standing for the stupid anthem and not disgusted by the way black men are treated in this country

    • Lebowski says

      March 4, 2017 at 7:55 am

Political view and protests aside – he cant read a defense, throw a touch pass or convert in the red zone. Besides scrambling he honestly is not very good.

    Colin Kaepernick.

He’s playing it long term which is the way to go. I think he’s handling it maturely. I also think it’s silly he lost his job unless it was in his contract that he’s supposed to stand during the national anthem.

    • queenmarie88 says

      March 3, 2017 at 10:28 am

He lost his job because he is not all he was cracked up to be as a ball player.

    • AnguaDelphine says

      March 3, 2017 at 12:06 pm

Agreed. I think pretty much everyone here would do the same – haven’t we all had to modify our behaviour in some way to keep a job? You speak up when you can, that’s all we can ask of him.

    • purplecheetah says

      March 3, 2017 at 12:25 pm

Not to mention he pissed off enough football fans that they boycotted the 49ers. Because of his stupid personal stance, he lost the organization and his team $$.

    • farfel says

      March 4, 2017 at 12:06 pm

Gross. He doesn’t need the support of those uneducated 49ers fans.

    • pajuxy says

      March 3, 2017 at 12:53 pm

@queenmarie88, you’re right! I see now I wasn’t fully informed. My bad! I see now it was a good business decision made by the team because of his play and how he handled his injury. Thanks for your reply to my comment.

Kapernick…wouldn’t hire him. Its a job and a team. There’s a whole group of people to consider. Its not your place to make your views associated with the organization.

    • farfel says

      March 4, 2017 at 12:05 pm

Yeah, the organization that has been profiting off black men for decades. Good for kapernick using his status to protest the continued mistreatment of black people in this country.

    • Germanicus says

      March 6, 2017 at 7:26 am

Getting paid millions of dollars to play a sport, an activity which in no way contributes to the health and welfare of the world, is “mistreatment” of black men? Nobody is putting a gun to anyone’s head and forcing them to play pro ball for seven to eight figures. Sign me up for said mistreatment. In the meantime, how would you fix it? By limiting the players to white men?

    • 4sixx2 says

      March 5, 2017 at 9:37 am

farfel, you’re trolling other’s comments with your political views. The NFL profits off the best Athletes and compensates them accordingly. If you didn’t view enough blacks playing, you’d say the NFL is racist. Because the majority of NFL players are black, you say the NFL profits off black men. I couldn’t disagree with your derogatory comments more.
