[Blind Gossip] This celebrated actress and her husband moved from a townhouse in the San Fernando Valley to a larger, single-family home a few years ago.
They kept the townhouse and rented it out to a single man.
After the man had lived there for a few months, the couple started getting complaints from their former neighbors in the complex.
They said that people were entering and leaving at all hours of the day and night and that there were also an unusually high number of UPS packages coming and going.
The actress’ husband went over to the townhouse to see what was going on. He knocked on the door and was greeted by a very good-looking but scantily-clad man.
It turns out that the renter was a businessman… and was using the townhouse as the headquarters AND main filming location for a gay p*rn company!
It took months, but the actress and her husband finally got the tenant evicted on the basis of a clause in their homeowners contract that prohibited the use of the residence as a business.
Of course, this is not something that the actress will ever discuss in an interview. However, the simple fact remains that our actress – who was one of this year’s Oscar nominees/winners – may have had dozens of gay p*rn films shot in her home!

It’s Viola Davis!
Why are we solving this one so quickly?
Well, exactly ONE WEEK after we ran the original blind item… Viola Davis and her husband Julius Tennon got the heck out of the landlord business!
Viola Davis Sells San Fernando Valley Home
Viola Davis sold her longtime home in the relatively unsung and, at least by Beverly Hills-centric real estate standards, far flung community of Granada Hills, at the northern border of the San Fernando Valley, for $1.15 million.
Unfortunately for the industry award hoovering star of “The Help,” who can boast an Emmy, a Tony, a Golden Globe and several SAG awards in addition to a 2017 Academy Award for her supporting role in the Denzel Washington directed film “Fences,” the sale price was a smidgen less than the $1.17 million property records indicate she paid for the property more than 11 years earlier.
The unassuming beige stucco residence, on a curving street lined with eerily similar looking houses and fronted by a prominent three-car garage, has five bedrooms and five bathrooms in just under 4,000-square-feet.
Davis significantly upgraded her residential circumstances last year with the $5.7 million purchase of a brand new, 7,500-square-foot vaguely Tuscan-style villa in Toluca Lake with five bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a 600-bottle climate controlled wine cellar, state-of-the-art screening room, and resort-style backyard with saltwater swimming pool and built-in barbecue.
Note that this article is about their Granada Hills home, which is the “larger, single-family home” we mentioned in our story. The townhouse is located in Far Hills and was sold off before this house sold. Viola knows which one it is.
Of course, Viola Davis and her husband had nothing to do with the “activity” that occurred in the townhouse after they moved out. They were merely renting it to someone else.
With the sale of this final rental property, it looks like Viola and Julius are now out of the landlord business. No more shady tenant nightmares for them!
Congratulations to Peps66 for being first with the correct response! And thanks to all of you who shared your crazy tenant/landlord/roommate stories!
