CDAN – This C list actress/writer/producer on a very hit television comedy had noticed all of these photos of a missing cat on telephone poles and in windows. She didn’t really think much about it, but a day or two after she first saw the pictures, she met a little girl who was standing with her mom on the corner and they were putting up more pictures. So, our actress to be kind asked about the cat, and found it that it had been the girl’s cat and that she had literally had it from almost the day she was born and she was now 8. The mother and daughter recognized our actress and they took some photos with a cell phone camera and our actress signed an autograph on one of the cat posters. The cat had managed to get outside when the front door had been left open by the cable guy.
Anyway, about a week goes by and our actress called the family to see if they had found the cat and they had not and had given up hope. The next day, our actress stopped by their house along with two other members of the show and dropped off a brand new kitten to the little girl.

Anyway, I was going to say Ellen, but then I remembered the person is on a tv comedy. Since the eight year old recognized the actress, I’m going to say America Ferrera. And the two other cast members might be Michael Yuri and Becki Newton? I love listening to the Ugly Betty podcast because of those two!
As depressed as I was to learn this, Ellen is apparently a huge b* and if she was responsible, it would have been for publicity’s sake.

Mindy Kaling! She plays Kelly Kapoor on The Office and is also a writer and producer for the show. So nice too!
And she’s developing her own show (thanks Perez) so this isn’t bad publicity! (Not that I don’t think she’s fantastic, it’s just this kind of stuff doesn’t hurt.)
What about the one who plays Angela on The Office? I think she writes too. In fact I think they are all writers. I heard Mindy is the head writer.
angela doesnt write for the office, in fact the only ones who do are bj novak-ryan and mindy. they also produce along with jennifer celotta. the guy who plays toby- also directs.. most of them are former improvisors- steve, angela, kate, etc… very multi talented cast.
oh and paul lieberstein-toby- writes too!
Whomever did this is so sweet and really went out of their way to make someone happy. I love cats so this brought a tear to my eye.
This person deserves recognition. Nice people need to be applauded for these things.

Any time a celeb does something nice and that info gets out, they are accused of playing it up for the attention.
I don’t blame the actually nice people for trying to keep it quiet.
I agree with Mindy Kaling – she was the first person I thought of. I know that Jenna and Angela are huge cat lovers in real life (when they show Angela’s cats on the show, it’s actually Jenna’s real cats!), so I could see Mindy being a cat lover, too. Us crazy cat ladies stick together lol.
I guess Mindy’s PR people are really earning their keep with this one…
I’ve never heard of this person so C list TV sounds right (I never even bother trying to guess C list American TV actors as they’re unlikely to be guessable to us non-US residents). Anyway, she sounds nice!
