I’ve taken a bit of an interest in Nicki. I’ve watched a few of her interviews. She looks like she’s faking it a lot of the time. I figured she has difficulty relating to people that are different than her or she’s much more miserable in general than she lets on. I had no idea she had a bf and that he’s a cruel man. That would explain at least some of why she comes off the way she does. What a sham/e.
I had to come back to say that Nicki kil*ed it on Kimmel the other night. She was enthusiastic, entertaining, diplomatic and fun. American Idol must have helped her to feel more comfortable chatting in the spotlight. She’s getting paid great money, she’s refining her skills in front of the camera, has a wider audience than ever before and seems to be enjoying herself. Now all she needs to do is learn to stand on her own two feet. She’s still in her early 20′s, right? It often takes time to find ones own inner strength. I hope she continues to evolve. I hope that one day she opens her eyes and realizes she doesn’t need this mans abuse anymore.
