I just remembered a rumor about her from WAY back in the day that she had a relationship with Kelly McGillis (Top Gun) for a while. Anyone else remember that one?

I think that Whitney was at odds with her religion and sexuality that led to her addictions and abusive relationships with men. Clive was a close confidante and probably knows the truth when all is said and done.
I hope Bobbi Kristina can straighten out her life and find peace. Apparently Oprah is getting an exclusive with her but not sure it’s a great idea unless it helps her financially.
I also think it may be an ex female lover!!!!!! maybe her ex assistant robyn crawford who whitney lived with for years and robyn left her as an assistant when her problems with drugs and stuff were getting out of control.

Bobby Brown all the way! It’s no secret that he took her death very hard. While I can believe that Bobby may be avoiding hard drugs (and even there, I’ve got my doubts), I’ve never been convinced that he overcame the alcoholism. He remains looking a bloated hot mess.
Whitney Houston wasn’t romantically linked to many people. The only suspects who it could be are:
Bobby Brown (ex-husband of 15 years)
Eddie Murphy (relationship)
ex-NFLer Randall Cunningham (relationship)
Robin Crawford (longtime assistant/BFF/alleged lesbian lover).
Houston was reportedly dating Ray J at the time of her death, so he wouldn’t be a labelled a former love interest per se, would he?
I should add a biography on Robert DeNiro a few years ago outlined that he aggressively wooed Whitney Houston back in 1985, when she first blew up on the music scene. She would’ve been about 22 years old, and he 42 years old.
The interest was allegedly mutual. However, this union was squashed by both her parents and record company. Her parents thought it would be career suicide because it was an interracial union and the age gap (Whitney Houston was first promoted on black radio, and then later on other radio stations). The record company thought that it would also make Whitney have less crossover appeal with white audiences.
Now, perhaps they creeped on the side but I don’t think so.

I don’t know about that. She was already doing drugs before that and DeNiro has a reputation for being kind of cruel to the women he dates so there’s no saying that her relationship with him would not have been just as rocky.
Herkeda, it’s not true that Whitney Houston was first promoted on black radio and then on other radio stations… In fact, the opposite was the case. With Whiney, Clive Davis made the unprecedented move of bypassing Black radio altogether and taking her straight to the pop stations. Black radio had a major grudge against Whitney throughout the 80s because of that, and that’s why she got booed at the Soul Train Awards and why she was dogged by allegations that she “wasn’t Black enough.”
“You Give Good Love” (her first solo hit) was a smash hit on black radio FIRST, and THEN crossed over on the pop charts. Whitney Houston was FIRST marketed strictly as an R&B artist. At the time, it was believed that her voice sounded “too gospel” to be a hit with white audiences.
It was only after “You Give Good Love” became a smash hit across the board that Clive Davis aggressively marketed her as America’s Black Barbie (pretty-girl-next-door type, sensual but not overtly sexual, with glamorous upper-middle-class respectability). Clive Davis himself explains that his strategy was marketing Whitney first to blacks as her fan base, and then branch out from there:

Look at Whitney Houston’s discography. She had A TON of Top 40 R&B hits throughout her career: 12 R&B hits in the 1980s (her career started in 1985), 20 R&B hits in the 1990s, and 6 R&B hits in the 2000s. I don’t know how old you are, so perhaps you weren’t around in the 1980s. However, Whitney Houston certainly got played on black radio NON-STOP throughout the ’80s and ’90s. In the ’80s, it seemed that every black girl wanted to BE Whitney Houston. Sure, a few people claimed that she wasn’t “Black enough” & booed her at the 1989 Soul Train Awards. However, that was definitely not most black people’s opinion of her. It couldn’t be, with all the hits that she had on the R&B charts!
Although she claimed to not care about them, I do think though that the “not Black enough” crowd got to her far more than she publicly let on. I think she married Bobby Brown because (1) she loved him; (2) it squashed the lesbian/bisexual rumors; and (3) she got some “street cred” with the “not Black enough” crowd through him. Given how foul Bobby treated her during their marriage and how many people are now blaming him for her death, I think he is Suspect #1 for this Blind Item!
I forgot to add Kelly McGillis (“Top Gun”) to the list of Whitney Houston’s romantic links. There are allegations that they were a couple back in the 1980s. McGillis did have alcohol & drug problems in the past before she came out as a lesbian and she says that she’s now clean and sober, so this BI could be about her too.
I also find it interesting that the NATIONAL ENQUIRER wasn’t gender-specific in its BI.

It could be a woman, and Kelly McGillis would fit the clues. Back in the 80s, my brother’s ex-fiance lived in NYC and knew a lot of people in the modeling and entertainment field. She told me way back then that it was well-known that Whitney was bisexual. She had told me about some others that later turned out to be true, so I tend to believe what she told me. Also, a friend of mine in London worked in the West End theaters and she told me in the early 90s that Kelly McGillis was a lesbian. I tend to put stock in some of these rumors as a result.
