It says he “blames his lackluster performance in the bedroom on an on-set injury.” Odd that it doesn’t say, “his lackluster performance IS a result of an on-set injury.” Just that he BLAMES his poor performance on an injury. George Clooney? He won best supporting actor for Syriana, which is actually the same movie that he seriously injured his back on. And he’s never had a shortage of beautiful girlfriends.
I read an interview recently (from 2008) and he mentioned to the interviewer that the Syriana injury affects his head to the point where he always has at minimum, a low-grade headache which can ramp up to excruciating for days. That sucks. I know when I get a migraine, I’m useless so I cannot do much more than lie very still in a dark room.
Ditto. Much empathy here. I had spinal cord surgey 2 years ago (c2-c7, below the brain) and lost alot of spinal cord fluid. The surgery was a success but headaches are par for the course I guess. And pain killers, ugh, dont even get me started… I read a few of Clooneys interviews and almost wept. He gets it.
I also suffer from severe migraines. Living in pain is a daily struggle so I definitely feel for George Clooney. Also, I love your name VeronicaMarsBars!

If you look at the list of previous oscar winners, Clooney is the ONLY one who meets the criteria of ‘drop dead gorgeous’. He also meets the criteria of having an ‘on-set injury’ as well as ‘beautiful girlfriends’. How much clearer can it be? There is a cure for the problem in the form of a pill so why would he continue to suffer from erectile disfunction?

Well, not sure about the violence in the sack, but think about it, if a guy has a bad back, his bedroom performance can suffer, maybe it has nothing to do with his erectile function, but more to do with stamina and positioning.
And as for the gay rumors, he himself just recently spoke out against them, well, not necessarily AGAINST, just that he could care less. What I found weird, was that he mentions that things could come out after his death, which was commonplace among the old hollywood scene, like Rock Hudson, Tab Hunter, and Bette Davis and/or Joan Crawford. So basically he references this as a possibility, but honestly, he seems real committed to the “lie”, as it were, perhaps if only to protect his CLEARLY LOYAL FAN BASE …
I must admit, I admire that he is not getting angry, crying libel, and NOT denying rumors (like TC.) He is right… at the end of the day, and at the end of life, being gay is not shameful. (especially in hollywood, jeez) Having said that, there are so few openly gay men who are successfully playing hetero roles. NPH and White Collar, Bomer are the only ones i can think of. Any film actors who are openly, pure homosexual and OUT? I like Clooneys movies – Great actor, director and i’d like him to write more.
