Hi BG/Ace… Just wanted to say, LOVE this site and I think the way you wrote and handled the Demi Lovato blind was incredibly respectful, considering she obviously didn’t think she needed the help. She clearly needed a kick up the backside and I’m glad she’s receiving the help she needs. GO BG!

Whatever you just added, the site has dramatically slowed down in the past few days :/ and I have a 50Mb connection. So not sure it’s a good addition.
I don’t Tweet, Like or Plus, but I do BG! Sorry I don’t participate in social media that involves “sharing,” but I do participate in plain, old social. I have “shared” this site with my friends by talking about the site, getting them hooked, too, and sending the occasional email cut & paste link. Love ya, Ace, and love sharing BG the old fashioned way! Thanks for everything!

my comment would be that it now takes an hour to load the site and anything I click on crashes my computer….not so good.
The adds have slowed the page downtown a bit but I’m happy to wait in order to get my BG fixes. And, I want to tell you that I’ve had a seriously bad month and this site is one of the few things that takes my mind off things. So thanks Ace, for having such a great site.

‘AddThis’ gets routinely filtered out by script blocking browser plug-ins, in many instances by default. Check out ‘Sociable’ instead (Plugins > Add New > Search > type Sociable). While you are at it, take a look at ‘WPtouch’ for mobile optimization. Feel free to email if you need help.

I have noticed a lot of tools on both FB and Twitter.
I really like the “Share” button! I especially like that it expands to try to include as many as possible, including livejournal.
So, yay for this.
Sometimes I “like” pages, but pretty rarely
. I like the options, though. I like being able to see how many people have liked/shared/tweeted, etc the story. It gives me an idea of how “big” the story is for people.
hate it! i know this may not be the conventional answer, but Facebook is everywhere. it was nice to come to this site and not have to deal with it : /. But i love your site!!! Thanks for all of the great work!

Ace, I’m an oddity because I don’t like or “do” any social media at all. It creeps me out how many people get to see your private info, and I just don’t dig it. Sorry! But as long as I can still find you here and don’t have to use a social media site (which I won’t) then I’m happy with whatever everyone else is happy with.
Also, PLEASE don’t make us have to log in using a social media site because I flat out won’t do it, and I’m sure there are some other hold outs too.

I’m with you on this one. FB tracks us once we leave the page and watches our activities elsewhere – I even see see my pic and a comment box when I go to sites like rotten*t*omatoes.c*m. And Google’s updated big brother approach is downright scary.
It makes me very uneasy that this will be another place that our anonymity will be breached.
I love, love, love BG and probably will cease to contribute if I have to log in to anything other than your site. A simple “like” button is I think we were all hoping for in a style similar to the village voice or dailymail online…

Reflecting on this entry, I doubt Ace will have us log in via any social media site, no? I think it will be just as we see it now, with options giving us the ability to retweet, or post on fb, etc. But what bothers me about this is whether or not one ever clicks on “like” for FB, FB will now record that you’ve been here, read this. So again, it’s another step that leads us straight into loosing our ability to be anonymous, hence, free.
Ugh. I’m so, so bothered.

Oooh Ace my phone doesn’t like your new buttons! I kept trying to load BG today and I kept getting error messagaes that the page was too big and had to shut down! I had to wait til I was home to be up to date on Demi Lovato, felt a bit left out
