Katy’s parents are known evangelical preachers, and religious figures of any type are usually seen as respectable. As for the divorce being shocking, it wasn’t shocking for us since we read this stuff all the time but her fans, especially her young female fans, we’re probably shocked. My little cousin thought her and Brand were really going to be married forever and have those 5 babies that Katy always talked about having. Lol
