British actress single mom to me sounds like Minnie Driver, but I would not put her in the rail-thin category. Yes she is slim and good looking, but I think they are looking more for a Kiera Knightly skin-and-bone rail-thin, I guess. Since Kiera does not children she’s out.
Joely Richardson could be considered this rail-thin. She has a daughter, however she is divorced…would she still count as single mom? I guess so.
I’d say she is mostly known for her TV roles in recent years so could be eager to revive her film career, but she has just been in Anonymous (2011) as well as in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, so her film career should be revived, no? she might still be a good guess….
Juniper, I passed Minne Driver on an NY sidewalk once about 10 years ago and it blew my mind how incredibly thin she was. I know she doesn’t look it on screen, but in real life a lot of actresses must be teeny tiny. She was wispy as hell, and it takes a lot for me to notice that!
