I think you’re right. They’re using the word footballer as if it were pointing to a soccer player but it’s a U.S. publication which means NFL. Ochocinco is obssessed with soccer, has met Real Madrid and Barcelona like a fanboy and even had a try-out with Sporting Kansas City during the NFL lockout. HUGE connection between him, soccer, AND football.

Not necessarily, sometimes, I believe BG puts a picture next to the blind as a clue to the blind itself. So, Jude Law being English and posing in drag in this picture, alludes to a “footballer” i.e. soccer player, from the UK. I dont believe anyone in America calls our football players footballers. Anyways, im jumping on the Downing/Aliederi bandwagon.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here… I thought “penchant” was a peculiar word for saying he has a liking for something, so I looked it up, and “penchant” comes from a French word. I took the word “footballer” as the UK meaning. So I came up with Leilani Dowding from Tough Love and other various British TV shows, and her ex fiance, French footballer Jeremie Aliadiere. Maybe it’s a stretch, but it’s all I got! Love ya, BG!!!
