Most recent award winning series are Mad Men and Modern Family. A handsome actor. Could it be Jon Hamm? Not sure I’d call any of the Modern Family guys handsome…not that they’re hideous or anythinig, jsut that I wouldn’t go with handsome to describe them.
I think Jon Hamm would never be given a warning about anything – he is the basis of the success of Mad Men and is irreplaceable.

Mad Men has won Emmys the past 4 years but Boardwalk Empire won the GG this past year. The Comedy series winners (Emmy and GG) over the past few years have been Modern Family, Glee and 30 Rock. Alec Baldwin have a problem w/ drinking?

Highly doubt that it is Jon Hamm. He watched his father die from the results of a lifestyle similar to that of Don Draper. He would be the last person I’d expect to be showing up drunk at work.
it’d be interesting if it were jon hamm. there was a story line in season four (i think) about don draper’s boozing getting out of hand after the death of the woman he knew who lived in california.
maybe the writers were giving JH a kind of heads-up with that story line, or using his behavior as a basis for his character’s story arc, as well as showing how his character would deal with grief (get wasted).
don draper cut back on his drinking at the end of that story arc. hmm.

Jeffrey Donovan was in a movie called “Come Early Morning” from 2006 (Clue: early morning cocktails). Burn Notice hasn’t won big awards, but it did win for best song or something….still counts as award-winning!

Well, the cocktails all lined up like that definitely give off a Mad Men vibe, and Jon Hamm does like his old-fashioneds, which is a cocktail, so the clues point to him.
Mad Men would be done without him though, so I can’t see them handling this kind of situation through a warning.

Jon Hamm. There have been a few stories about him stumbling out of bars, and there’s a clip floating around the net of him giving an interview while drunk at a post-emmy party a few years ago. He’s known to drink a lot. And if he’s ruining takes while being drunk, I can see his Mad Men bosses saying something even if he is their golden ticket.
The bad thing with “Award Winning” as a clue is that things like set, costuming, under-the-craft-services-table-quickie, are all awards. So it may not necessarily be a “best”.
(I think I need to double check the awards lists..)

It’s not Jon Hamm. I wish people would quit guessing him for every blind that says “handsome actor”. If it’s anyone on Mad Men (which I highly doubt) it’s John Slattery. There’s been speculation he’s going to be written out after this season, based on some comments made by the creator of Mad Men.

It’s SO vague….the only thing that seems like a potential clue is the word ‘early’ – I mean, morning cocktails would be bad enough, so why add ‘early’? Also, the beer in the middle of the row of cocktails looks out of place…..that’s all I’ve got.

The cocktails clue points to Hamm, as they are so much a part of the iconogrpahy of Mad Men which has featured at 3 storylines about alcoholic men struggling to function in the workplace. Including Don. But…I like the Laurie guess. He’s always had this kind of depressive self loathing vibe about him. I can see him pushing the self destruct button.

hugh laurie has been recording a blues album and touring. I also wouldnt be surprised if house doesnt wrap up soon. Dont think being fired would be a big threat to him. Sounds more like someone who might actually need the employment to make his career.
the self loathing is the character – in interviews he’s funny and self-depricating but not dark.
I teach film studies at a university missmissy and can differentiate between character and performer. I have been watching Laurie on UK TV since the 1980′s and I think it’s likely he’s the answer for this blind.
If Ted C.’s comments are anything to go by, this is not Jon Hamm. Ted C writes that out of the whole Mad Men cast Jon Hamm is the one who is most vice free so much so that other actors on set are becoming resentful and may be making stuff up about him. There’s been a lot of talk of his alcoholism and a possible intervention for some time. I hope he gets help. Being a recovering alcoholic myself I was also highly functioning and on when I needed to be, but it catches up to you. That’s what’s happening with poor john I think. I hope they realize the talent on hand and get him help pronto.

Sheesh, can’t a guy stumble out of a bar once in a while without everyone getting all up in his grill?? … Now, if it IS John Hamm, what would the one final warning be? Has Mad Men started shooting yet? Maybe they’re threatening to hold up the next season for a month while he goes to rehab? That would make his fans kind of mad, wouldn’t it, holding up shooting?
One final warning may just mean that they would force him to get help if he doesn’t do it himself.
