BlindGossip – Mom was worried about something much more important than her daughter’s increasingly wild and erratic behavior. She was worried about how public perception of that behavior would affect Girl’s career. So, after a particularly shocking incident, Mom decided to get Girl out of the public eye for a while by taking her away to another city.
Girl quickly got bored hiding out in the hotel, so Mom flew in one of Girl’s friends, and the two of them spent a couple of weeks shopping and getting spa treatments… while Mom came up the concept of “reh*b”. It was a calculated way for Girl to continue to stay out of the public eye for an extended period of time. More importantly, as long as Mom and Girl never admitted that she was going there for dr*g- or alc*hol-related problems, it would be difficult for people to criticize Girl when she got out. So, Girl was sent off to “rehab” for unspecified problems.
Now you know that it was all a public relations move and that Girl was in treatment for a much shorter amount of time she and Mom claim. And while we’re glad that Girl actually did wind up getting help with some of her very real issues, her best chance at true recovery will happen when she starts being honest. That’s going to be difficult with such a scheming mother.

After the backup-punching incident in 2010, it was announced that Demi had a “nervous breakdown” and was going to rehab.
The first lie was in failing to tell the truth: Demi was an alcoholic and a coke addict, and needed to go to rehab to deal with her addictions.
The second lie was their claiming that she had gone to rehab. Actually, instead of going straight to rehab like they claimed, Mom and Demi simply holed up in a Chicago hotel, where she hung out for several weeks with a friend who was flown in to keep her company.
They said that Demi was in rehab at the Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center in Chicago, IL. The truth is that she went to rehab only when the press didn’t die down after a couple of weeks. And then she went to rehab for a MUCH shorter time than was claimed.
And all of that evasive and lying behavior was carefully orchestrated by Mom: The Addict and The Enabler.
BTW, Demi Lovato’s mother Dianna Hart de la Garza, is also an addict. According to The New York Post:

On Monday, news broke that Lovato’s mother and manager Dianna Hart de la Garza checked into an undisclosed treatment facility for unknown issues recently. Now [that] Demi is strong again, her mom could take some time to deal with her own issues.”
Ms. De la Garza is believed to be out of treatment and back home with her family.
Demi’s mother is not only an addict. She is the worst enabler of Demi’s behavior.

It obviously sounds like Lindsay… but Demi was also mysteriously sent off to rehab in somewhere random like Ohio.
Also, Lindsay’s mom appears too whacked out to actually start caring about Lindsay’s behaviour…and it’s pretty well known why LaLohan was shipped off.
DEMI, on the other hand…well there was wide speculation as to why she went off, but never full confirmation of what happened.
So, my vote is for Demi. I hope she gets some more help with all those salacious issues for such a young girl.

Why would people criticize her if drugs were reason she was sent to “reh*b”? The reason people give LL such a hard time is the unbelievable level of denial going on in her world. To me it seems like most people root for who ever is really trying to get help, no matter what the issue.

This is absolutely Demi Lovato. Mainly because tonight is her interview. She also said after she left tour she thought she was going to LA but instead her Mom took her to Dallas. We’ve all heard the rumor that she was using coke. Plus I don’t buy that she has all these issues NOW because someone called her “fat” at 8. This girl still has issues because she quit the show because she wasn’t comfortable being in front of the camera with her body so not sure this PR plan will end successful.
Also…her mom has leaked Demi’s personal life to certain bloggers. Hence the “scheming”.

Demi Lovato – she is now attempting to join the CZJ crew in “admitting” she was there for bipolar. Which I somehow doubt very much.
My guess is Demi Lavato. She supposedely went to rehab, I don’t recall hearing the exact reason for it… She was out of the spotlight for a short while.
Guys, this is obviously not Demi Lovato for a number of reasons.
1. Most importantly, the timeline doesn’t line up. Demi was not out of the public eye for “a couple of weeks” before her mother came up with the idea of rehab — the rehab stint was announce within 48 hours of her leaving the Jonas Brothers tour.
2. Demi was not sent to rehab for “unspecified problems.” Her publicist did give a (vague) reason when she went in, and she has since been more specific about what Demi was being treated for.
3. There are paparazzi pics of Demi out near the Timberline Knolls treatment center in Chicago and entering an outpatient facility in Santa Monica after being released from treatment — that would mean her mom had to organize paparazzi photo shoots of Demi in and around treatment centers to make the story work. Why would the blind item not mention that the mom went so far as to do paparazzi photo shoots? That seems like a BIG plot point to leave out.
4. This may not be definite because it comes from Disney stans, but: apparently there are now people who correspond with Demi on Twitter who are/were at Timberline Knolls and met her there — so she would have had to set foot in the treatment center at some point to meet them. Again, that seems like a BIG plot point to leave out in a story about a “scheming” mother.
But really, the ONLY thing you need to determine that this item ISN’T Demi is the first point, which is that the timeline is all wrong for Demi.
(Also, those of you saying she’s jumping aboard the bipolar train after CZJ got good publicity for it: wrong. Demi admitted she was bipolar in interviews with People and 20/20, both of which were conducted LAST MONTH, before CZJ came out as bipolar.)

I’m always amused by newly diagnosed bipolar people who spout on and on about how NOW they have all this clarity and NOW they’re stable and have everything figured out, because they know they’re bipolar. I mean, I did the same thing, but then I realized treating it is the real battle. I read her interview and it made me chuckle. I really do wish it had been that quick and easy for me to deal with such a difficult disorder. It took me around a year to get everything sorted out: to get the right combination of meds, to get my destructive behaviors changed, and to learn how to deal with people who, er, “de-stabilized” me. And I *still* cycle if I step outside my little routine… stop taking my meds, miss a couple days of workouts, sleep too much or too little for a few days in a row.
I wish her the best, but I hate to tell her, the earlier the onset of the disorder, the more severe it usually is. This does not bode well for Ms. Lovato. She’d best get the substance abuse under control.
Demi Lovato is almost definitely NOT bipolar and is another borderline in the making. Borderlines often claim to be or are misdiagnosed as bipolar (eg LiLo). The question is whether she was misdiagnosed or she us using bipolar disorder as a convenient excuse.
I completely agree – she is borderline, not bipolar. But really, she is mostly a drug addict with weight and self esteem issues (which you can certainly have absent of borderline or bipolar).
