Probably Sarah Ferguson (Fergie) the Duchess of York.
The Queen.
The Queen never buys off the rack, everything is made especially for her by the same couple of designers/dress makers/milliners she has used for years and unlike the rest of us plebs who buy a nice outfit and then look for the accessories, all her ‘public’ clothes are made to match a piece of royal jewelry.
I would have said Sarah Ferguson, but I don’t think she’s royal any more.
So I’ll say Beatrice or Eugenie.
She doesn’t have an HRH any more and is therefore not a princess, but she is still the Duchess of York. I think that’s sufficient (for the New York Post’s purposes at least) to make Fergie my best guess.

Gotta be Fergie. She’s hard up for cash. QEII is foolish for not giving her a cash settlement upon her divorce like the one Diana got because now Fergie has a taste of lavish living but no income to support it, leading her to embarrass the royal family in the cash-for-access to her ex-husband scandal. The video of the incident is bizarre and pathetic.

Well its not Fergie. Oscar, Ralph, Carolina and Zac do not make large sizes unless it is custom and these they don’t loan out unless its for the Met Costume Inst., or the Oscars. There are lots of minor nobility in New York who seek constant freebies. Then there are high end like Arianna Boardman. Silvie d’Arenberg, Sally Abermarle etc. Princess Madeline has no taste and would not be allowed to accept clothing due to her royal status. HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover not only outranks her brother Albert of Monaco but is hardly in need of freebies for her family.
Not true! These designers make larger sizes! I have shopped for Fergie and she was only a size 16 at time. Oscar, Carolina most def dress larger women! Zac,no! Ralph will do special orders! Most people don’t understand that most woman are size 8 and UP!
I worked for many celebs and designers and they LOAN clothes all the time! It is the best PR for them to get a photo op in their design! That is reason people go out and HAVE to have what so and so had on! We loan clothes for photoshoots, editorials and you would be surprised at what else! Most get free clothes anyways so it has to be someone irrelevant.
Wow – love the in-depth analysis on this. Only thing I wanted to add was, I don’t think “need” has anything to do with a royal (or other celeb) from stealing designer clothing.
The easy answer is Fergie, but i don’t think it is.
