Is it any wonder that Lindsay Lohan is the mess that she is? Both of her parents have substance-abuse issues and have trouble keeping themselves sober, never mind trying to raise their kids to be sober, responsible adults.
When we heard last year that Dina did shots with Lindsay as soon as Lindsay got out of rehab, we were incredulous. Could a parent really be that stupid? Yes. And when we saw this report that the two of them were doing shots together to celebrate Dina’s birthday last week, we knew it was time to reveal this one.

Lindsay Lohan partied like it was her birthday on Saturday — because it was her mother’s.
According to the manager of Mio Posto in Hicksville, L.I., the 26-year-old “Liz & Dick” actress had “double vodka and club soda” during Dina Lohan’s 12-person 50th-birthday dinner.
The small but rowdy celebration comes on the heels of the mother of four being accused of being inebriated during a tease for an interview with Dr. Phil (the show will air today).
“She drank mixed drinks,” the manager tells us of Dina Lohan. “She had a few.”
While a spokesman for La Lohan says it’s a policy to not comment on things regarding family, Lindsay’s father Michael, who divorced Dina Lohan in 2007, felt otherwise.
“After finding out Dina was drinking in front of Lindsay on her birthday, not only do I think it’s pathetic, but obviously she doesn’t think what anyone thinks of her as a mother,” he told Confidenti@l. “It’s absolutely disgraceful that a mother would appear on ‘Dr. Phil’ in the condition she was in and continue on the same path. Even more troubling is now she was drinking around and with Lindsay.”
When Michael Lohan is telling you that you’re disgraceful, you’ve sunk to a new low.
Dina Lohan’s own lack of sobriety has become very public lately. On today’s Dr. Phil show, she slurs and flails her way through an interview:

Yes, I swear that I already read somewhere that Dina took Lindsay out for shots to “celebrate” her release from rehab.

But it says she spent time with one of her parents, that insinuates that they are seperated. I think I’ve seen photos of Demi together with bother parents, who appear married/together.
Also, I think I’ve heard a similar blind before – about an actress that recently also left rehab (or was celebrating something) and her mother celebrated with shots. I think it was at the end of last year.
I don’t think its Demi because although she does act, she’s always been more known as a singer and she has a very strong family dynamic. She’s super close with her mom, stepdad, and sisters. They wouldn’t put her in a harmful situation like that.

There was already a blind about Lindsay doing shots with her mom. It came out the week she got out of rehab.

It would be too easy for it to be Lindsay! I’m going to think on it and come back. I’m going to be looking for someone who is under 21 and has just come out of rehab.

Lindsay Lohan. We’ve heard enough about Dina Lohan to believe her capable of this. How is this girl ever meant to help herself when surrounded by these selfish people?

lindsay is (only she can define it for herself)–tend to the
immature. that’s especially true if those around them enable
them, keeping them in a dependent state and not allowing
the normal individuation from parents that happens in the
early-mid-20s. from the far, far distance at which i sit, LL
seems about 16, and that may be an insult to maturing
16-yr-olds.

It most likely Demi Lovato, since she just got out. Lindsay could be going to jail for stealing right now. I don’t understand how she would have just gotten out of rehab when she’s been going to court.

I’m going to say Lindsay, despite her *ahem* advanced years. I’m really thinking Demi is healthy right now — seems so to me, anyhow.
This blind is old. I read it somewhere else, when Lindsay got out of rehab for the X-th time (not last time, before it). How many times was she in rehab? It’s all the same for her. Gets out of control, goes to rehab, goes out of rehab and parties, denies to be drinking and little time later gets again out of control. This circle seems never to end, like some kind of curse.
Since Lindsay Lohan only went to rehab to avoid jail time and was outed for drinking just the other night in the tabs, he mother Dina gets my guess, but it’s kind of hard to envision LL as “young Hollywood”
This is def. Lindsay. I read yesterday she was seen with her younger brothers and sisters at a Kosher restaurant drinking Kosher wine.
Dina has to be the worst mother! She obv didn’t do enough when she was younger so she is living thru Lindsay, sad and pathetic! Disturbing how she acts w her daughter ! She needs a life and a real job and stop using her daughter!
Wow, either this same story gets repeated a lot, or there are a LOT of terrible parents in Hollywood. Either way it’s very sad.

I think the old post may have been a bit to specific in its references to a hard pAArtying actress and her enabling mother.
Yeah, I thought I’d read this one before a few months ago and the consensus was that it was Dina.
Wasn’t this one already solved? It was the mother of the year who knew her daughter was moving next door to an old lover and fronted her the money. It included Mommy Dearest providing celebratory shots to her newly rehabbed daughter. Answer was Lindsay and Dina.
BTW, BG, thanks for repeating this one. I suspect you may find it especially sad, given the circumstances. Maybe somehow, someway reposting it might highlight the issue and get something done. Doubtful, but good of you to put the spotlight back on this tragic situation.
Definitely LiLo and Orange Oprah. As an aside, I still agree with the UCLA diagnosis of a personality disorder (cluster B, likely BPD) and she isn’t really an addict just a long term abuser of drugs and alcohol. It may appear to be semantics but their are clear distinctions.
This looks a lot like the Lindsey & Dina Lohanb one that was in the solved section, which is no longer there.
