This B list television actress on a hit network show has gone from one hit show to another. Both of them are still on the air. She also does movies, but they are not usually box office hits. Anyway, with her very nice weekly paycheck instead of spending it on p*rn stars and blow, she uses one paycheck each month to rent a furnished apartment for a year for a family that comes to her via a homeless shelter in LA. Her contact person at the shelter finds the family and our actress moves them in so the family has a chance at a better life. She has done this so far for seven families and four of them are now paying their own rent.

I can see this being her. If I remember correctly, her father Quincy Jones had a rough childhood, can’t remember the details but maybe it somehow inspired her to help people.

I’ve got the Charlie Sheen connection to Rashida – Rob Lowe is currently on Parks & Rec with Rashida as her love interest and he has been rumored to be a front runner to take Charlie’s place on 2 and half men.
You have to be crazy not to love Rashida.

That might have been a box office hit but most of her other movies weren’t and the clue states that her movies are not usually box office hits.

That’s what came to mind for me too. The “gone from one hit show to another” made it seem like they were kind of related, and Grey’s certainly is/was a hit. Don’t know if they’re network or not though.

The people need to know who this awesome actress is! Great counterbalance to hearing about Charlie Sheen and his pug today.
So one week’s pay is paying for an entire year for a furnished apartment in LA? She must be making an obscene amount of money per episode. I wonder if she’s done this since she started the show? That would indicate that she’s been on the current show for about 7 months.
I would guess an average apartment costs about $1500/month way cheaper some places, and the most I would imagine is about $2k around LA (I’m sure she’s not putting them in a $15k a month condo in NYC), so that’s $24k that she’s giving them. That has her making $1.25 million per year. That’s really not that much for a decent actor these days. The Friends & the Sheen were both making $1 million or more an episode, so I would imagine it’s not unreasonable to think that decent actors make anywhere between $10k and $100k per episode of a show if not more. I don’t know, the math adds up to me.
Just based on the pic, I’m thinking it’s a Black actress (or mixed). So, I’m going to get on the Rashida Jones bandwagon.

In the other hand I like that the actress in question isn’t doing this with the intention of gaining publicity.
I really hope that if I had the opportunity that I’d be doing this as well. Easy to say but so much harder to do which makes this BI even better.

I’d love for it to be Regina King. Love her. She’s on Southland but the other show, The Boondocks, seems to have finished in 2010. Don’t know if it’s returning. I’m pretty sure she could demand a killer paycheck.

Let’s say rent in LA for a furnished apartment is 3 grand a month. That comes to just 36,000 a year. If it’s higher, say 4 grand, that’s 48K. Sure, a lot for you and me but for a tv star? Not a huge weekly salary.
That said, there’s some Charlie Sheen connection here because of the h–kers and bl-w comment. I just can’t figure out who.
Since it mentions “p*rn stars and blow” has to be connect to the “Warlock” but regardless if it ever comes public, God Bless her!!!! This is everything right about success. I try to do as much as possible for those in need. While I think she is someone to be praised, I can appreciate the need to be “invisible” in regards to it all.

Whoever is doing this is awesome. It weirds me out though, because I always used to say that if I ever became rich and famous, I’d want to work with families paying their rent and utilities for a year to give them time to find jobs and education and all that, so knowing that someone else had the same idea makes me happy. Lord knows I’ll never be rich and famous, haha.

I am with the Rashida Jones guess. She seems pretty down to earth. Also, I don’t want to come off as “that guy”, but if your dad was worth several hundred million, I am guessing it is easy to be a little more generous with your money. That said, she doesn’t have to give anything, so for her to be the way she is (supposedly), I think it is great.
