She’s long had a reputation for being absolute hell to work with. I mean like straight up crazy. Leaves her sh*t, sometimes literally, everywhere, specifies exact times when people can or cannot talk to her, is foaming at the mouth insane one minute, calm and collected the next. Lately her opportunities have dried up. And this is a good example of why. Press junket. A handler has to make sure she wakes up in the morning. Because she’s not a proper adult? She finds her completely out of it. Has to put her in the shower and hold her up. Picture that please. A grown woman having to be physically supported in the shower to make sure she can go and do her job. She then had to be spoon fed her breakfast. And she had to be dressed. Like, let’s put on your socks! Finally they get her to the point where she can be seen in public. A journalist is soon expected for an interview. Through it all she’s still a fucking zombie. Soon as the reporter comes into the room though, a switch goes off. She’s alive. She’s engaging. She can speak in proper sentences. And you can imagine, for the people who’ve experienced this, who’ve had to work with her, who have to manage the unpredictability of this, how scary it must be, how utterly unsettling, even more unsettling than most of her peers. And in her business, that’s a pretty high standard.

Am thinking either her or Brit-Brit. Both are hitting the wall in terms of career opportunities.
Can’t be Lohan because (in my mind), her opportunities ARE dried up, and she even admitted recently in an interview that she doesn’t have the option of choosing who she works with.
I don’t think it’s Winona Ryder (sp?) because she’s experienced a bit of a come-back.

This sounds right to me. I saw that horrific show Skating with the Stars (Only once, and I swear there was nothing else on!), she was incredibly out of it. Looked like she was very heavily medicated. I have no idea how she actually skated. VERY scary looking.
Sean Young has been on The Young and the Restless as a recurring character for the last nine months or so. She was recently named as one of the celebs cast in the next season of “Celebrity Rehab” with Dr. Drew, so while it seems she does have an issue of some sort, I don’t know that she is quite this far gone.

Britney Spears, obviously. For a mag cover shoot, she left soiled (literally) clothes and for a radio appearance she had a former assistant do the interview for her while she slept and then took a shower. Poor girl needs to up her meds.

This is what I thought of when I first read it. Makes sense as I can’t recall the last time I saw Ashley Judd in anything.
Ashley Judd has two movies and a TV movie coming up in 2011, so far.
Ashley has just signed on for a new TV series ‘Missing’ if she is that far gone no way would a studio sign her as the lead in a TV series.
Charlie Sheen has been far gone his whole life and they still hired him. I don’t think these executives really care about their stars so long as they get good press and good money, you know?
It breaks my heart to have to admit that I think you’re right: Ashley Judd.
I adore women who don’t mute their intelligence, and she impressed me outta the gate with her intellect. All too often, though, people with such a high degree of intelligence fall victim to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and she exhibits a lot of those traits.
DUDE, I have to say something here.
“Fall victim” to bipolar and schizophrenia? They aren’t some sort of contagious disease that preys upon unsuspecting smart people. It’s not like you can push yourself so hard in the classroom that you “fall victim” to a mood disorder. You are either born with those genes, or you’re not.
Bipolar is really just a set of mood-related symptoms. It’s not a systemic disease, and it’s not something anyone should fear “falling victim” to because of a high IQ.
Plenty of uneducated, “unintelligent” people are bipolar and schizo. They’re the homeless people you see in San Francisco, NY, Memphis, etc., who self-medicate with whatever change you give them. (This is why I support foundations like Back on My Feet, because as someone who IS bipolar, I recognize that COULD be me on the street if I didn’t have a family and the opportunities I’ve had.)

those genes can be flipped on or off depending on your outside stimuli. if your life is all insane to begin with (ie leading a famous persons life), you are far more subject to calling those genes into play than someone living in an apt working as a secretary somewhere.

Lainey’s tweets about particular stars are usually hints to her blind items. But she could have been referring to her mute stones blind, whom Ashley is supposed to be.
That’s definitely true, but Lainey already revealed the “mute stones” blind to be about Ashley Judd over a year ago so it probably makes more sense that the tweet is related to this blind as it’s more recent.
This is the first person I thought of too. The girl in the shower looks like Ashley too.
I immediately thought of Lady Gaga. Her recent cover and interview in one high profile magazine made me believe she is totally crazy… I could see her being despondent and then “turning it on” for the press

That incident at the magazine shoot was in like 2007, before she was diagnosed and medicated. Brit’s opportunities also aren’t “drying up” – “Hold it Against Me” broke records and she’s going on tour this summer with her new CD. I also don’t think they let Britney do press in person much anymore… all her interviews are either by phone or email now, so I imagine she can have a handler beside her monitoring her answers.
Madonna? She’s older, she’s crazy… But she hasn’t really been in any movies lately…

The first person that came to mind was Mariah Carey. I believe she was on a press junket last year for Precious so she would qualify. I’m assuming musicians also do similar press junkets when they’re promoting a new album, and she did release one in November (another Christmas album).
In another blind, someone linked to an article about how she acts while in her condo building (won’t let the residents talk to her, always travels in a big entourage).
There was also a photo a while back where Nick was literally supporting her as she walked down the sidewalk.
Of course she’s pregnant right now, so I kind of hope this isn’t her.
My second guess is Christina Aguilera. I can only imagine what she’s like in the morning after a bender. And she would have been on a press junket for Burlesque.

I haven’t posted before but had to respond to this! I read this same gossip, almost verbatim as I recall, in a mag at LEAST 4 or 5 years ago maybe more. It was a blind article about four (I think) different celebrities and their vices. Lindsay was the most popular guess for this particular item. Does anyone else remember the article? Kirsten Dunst was the answer to another one about a drug cocktail, that involved cough syrup, ugh, she preferred. Does anyone else remember this article? Maybe from Entertainment Weekly? When reading the above blind there is no time frame mentioned… it could be old. I swear I’ve read this before!

Ms. Spears – we got a real peak of her looney-tuneying it up after her split with Federline. C’mon, the shaving of the head to avoid a positive reading on a drug test (apparently, she didn’t think of draining all her body of pee to beat the urine test), the crazy swinging of the umbrella at the paparazzo, her father moving in with her and making her breakfast, the talk of her parents seeking conservatorship over her affairs. Her people got in, took control of the situation and voila – today she seems almost normal when they wheel her out for the occasional appearance or photo-op.
