He has told people that he believes he’s managing his sobriety well if he “only binges on cr*ck twice a month.” But he’s not the only one with a drug problem. She has one, too.
That’s right. Wife is a cr*ck addict, too. The two of them bonded over drugs, and they have spent much of their relationship smoking white rocks together (including during a recent group vacation). She needs rehab, too, but she is is hoping that right now she looks like the responsible parent compared to him. So, who will get the kids? Him? Her? His Ex-Wife? A family member? This custody battle is going to be epic. However, nobody will likely come out of this a winner. Least of all the children.

When Charlie had his breakdown, most people assumed that Brooke would automatically get the kids. But we knew that Brooke was in the throes of her own crack addiction, and that it was bound to rear its ugly head and throw a wrench into the works of the custody battle.
It’s been a busy week for Brooke Mueller. She’s been caught trying to pawn high-end watches, buying 8 balls on the streets of LA, and trying to buy clean urine from her friends so that she could pass a drug test. First, a comment about PeeGate from RadarOnline:
RadarOnline.com Thursday morning broke a bombshell story about Mueller making frantic calls to friends to ask for their clean urine.
She couldn’t get the urine. Next came the watch-pawning and the crack-buying. Again, from RadarOnline:
Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen’s soon-to-be-ex-wife, allegedly bought cocaine at a street corner in gang-infested neighborhood of Inglewood, Calif., Thursday, several sources told RadarOnline.com.
The troubled mother of Sheen’s 2-year-old twins paid $150 for an 8-ball of crack cocaine, a neighborhood drug dealer told ROL.
“Man, I ain’t never seen some sh*t like that, a cute a** white b**** looking for some candy on these streets,” said a man who identified himself as T-Mac.
Friend’s of the oft-rehabbed Florida native Mueller’s believe she is on a world-class bender since Tuesday night.
“Brooke is having a full-fledged crack relapse,” said a source close to Mueller. “Her lawyer has been trying to reach her, to no avail. Brooke has 3-4 friends that are big-time party animals, and they came over to her Los Feliz mansion, picked her up, and she hasn’t been seen since.”
Brooke’s mom, Palm Beach, Fla., socialite Moira Fiore, has been taking care of the boys since Tuesday.
Both Mueller and Sheen are supposed to be randomly tested three times a month. If either fails, each could lose custody of sons Max and Bob.
As of today, Brooke has still refused to take a drug test. So Brooke’s mom temporarily has the kids (and has offered to take them full time), Brooke needs to go back to rehab, and Charlie is filing for full custody.
The custody issue is being played out in court TODAY. Right now, the court is closed to the press because issues of abuse being discussed.
BTW, Denise Richards has also volunteered to take temporary custody of the twins. Whoever thought that Denise Richards would come out looking like the good parent in all this?

According to RadarOnline, Charlie lost the custody battle.
It was definitely not a winning day in court for Charlie Sheen on Tuesday.
The embattled former Two and a Half Men actor lost his fight against his estranged wife Brooke Mueller for full custody of their two-year-old twin sons, Max and Bob.
A judge in Los Angeles just allowed Mueller to maintain primary legal and physical custody despite a well-publicized relapse in her crack cocaine addiction.
Despite appearing “unsteady on her feet” and “glassy-eyed” Mueller was all smiles as she left the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
“No comment,” she told RadarOnline when asked if she was pleased with the decision.
A source says that while Mueller undergoes drug treatment at an undisclosed rehab facility, her mother, Palm Beach, Fla, socialite Moira Fiore, will provide primary care for the boys.

Yeah, well, Martin and his wife pretty much raised Cassandra….Charlie’s FIRST kid that…you guessed it…neither he nor the mother were fit to raise. Doesn’t seem to fair for him to keep fathering kids that his 70 year old parents needs to bring up!

Let the ex have full custody. Let the parents have supervised, separate visitation once a year for two hours each. The other choice would be the children’s eldest half-sister.

unlikely, but the court could decide that being raised with their sisters is the best option for the kids, particularly if Denise takes Charlie up on his offer to move next door. that ‘best interest of the child’ standard is pretty fuzzy.
I’d really love to see Martin awarded custody on a temporary basis while either b or c get clean. So sad. Don’t think there is a good outcome on the cards, unfortunately.

Its not that odd to choose Denise to get custody. A precedent was set with Sir Bob. After Michael Hutchins died, then his wife, Paula Yates died; Bob Geldolf got custody of Paula & Michael’s little girl so she could grow up with her siblings (Bob & Paula’s kids).

It’s a little different. Women usually do not want take custody of their ex-husband new wife kids,nor do they usually want to have anything to do with their ex’s new wife at all. When Bob got custody of Paula and Michael’s daughter, all 3 girls had been staying with their mother, prior to her death, so he likely knew Paula and Michael’s child ,since she was a part of his daughter’s life. Plus when Bob got custody of Michael and Paula’s daughter, he also got custody of all the money that was left to her.
Where is Child Protective Services? It is insane that those children remain in either parent’s custody with the drug use going on, not to mention that Charlie is clearly bipolar and off his meds.

I agree CPS should supervise custody if the two crackies can’t get their acts together. Where are the senior Sheens during this mess or are they in denial like everyone else. Brook’s mother is a c-list sort of Palm Beach socialite and her husband is a wanna be singer. Mama thinks everything is perfect and nothing wrong. Those kids would be better off in foster care.
I was just talking with someone about how who would’ve thought that Denise Richards would be the responsible one. I hope the kids Charlie has with Brooke end up somewhere better: maybe with Emilio?

Man oh man, I’m glad you brought this issue up as well, BG! This has been bothering me for a while. Charlie’s boys are adorable but both parents are big time druggies. And she has knowingly left them with him, knowing his problems.
The factor that would tip the scale for me would be that HE hits women. Why should his kids have to grow up seeing that? It’s horrific and inexcusable.
That being said, doesn’t sound like she’s fit to take them either. What about one of the grandparents?

Let’s just hope that she was either honest enough with her obstetrician, or he/she was educated enough to detect an issue and put her on some kind of maintenance during her pregnancy. Even at that, I’m not sure it would have protected the children from being born addicted or inheriting screwed up brain chemistry.

She had already given Charlie full custody when she knew he was doing drugs and crazy things before – just hope someone gets the kids to a more stable home.

I have a feeling that Brooke agreed to go to the Bahamas with the trio bc Charlie was “introducing” her to the people who would be taking care of their kids, and she was cool with it, til she got caught.

Unfortunately, just being a drug addict is not always reason enough to get your children taken away because you are not causing physical harm to them or neglecting them (so they say). I have seen babies born drug addicted because the mother did heroin or some other drug while pregnant and the hospital withdrawals the baby and sends them home with mom. Sick.
