Also, there were rumors quite a few years ago, after the public found out about her 2nd marriage ending, that she also had a child that was being raised by family. She’s one of the few performers who has enough of a performance history to warrant both the protection of her teen image and validation of her public statements regarding starting a family.

Janet got pregnant during her stint on that 80′s TV show, Fame, with Debbie Allen. As a young, ballet dancer, myself, I was devoted to that show ’til the day it was cancelled. Janet signed on a couple of years after the show had already become a hit. In a cast of many, her character soon developed a really good storyline, netting her a respectable amount of face-time. Then, all of a sudden Janet’s character just dropped off the radar. The entire show was really awkward for a while, trying to recoup from her sudden, lapsed storyline, but sadly, it never truly did. When Janet did finally reappear, it was merely to wrap up said storyline, before she permanently exited the show. In her last, final, few episodes, producers only ever shot her from the neck up. I have very vivid memories of it, because she was quite obviously – AND SHOCKINGLY – pregnant, with producers doing their level best to conceal it. Soon afterward, rumors flew, with the revelation of her secret marriage to DeBarge coming to the fore, but then just as mysteriously EVERYTHING was quashed. For years I’d wondered what happened to her child. I just assumed that they, The Jacksons, put it up for adoption. Her career hit the stratosphere shortly thereafter. And, I have always blamed her for the demise of that show.

It’s actually Beyonce. There was an interview on TV when Destiny’s Child came out where the interviewer asked Beyonce how her daughter was doing. Beyonce was shocked and Kelly took over and said she loved her niece. The show cut out to commercial. When the show returned there was no mention of it at all! There’s also pictures of a pregnant Beyonce as a teenager online. Google it….

Janet sure wasn’t trying to hide the pregnancy much….she got up on stage at the end of her Brother’s show at Dodger Stadium and danced along with LaToya. Both were in the audience….Janet had on a big “Men’s Shirt”….and believe me…SHE WAS PREGNANT!!!!…….It was decided by that weird family that her sister would raise the little girl. Back then my brother was a manager at Gelson’s Market close to the Jackson Home on Havenhurst, Janet was always in there while she was pregnant. Wow…this was a long time ago, that little girl has to be in her early 20s by now!!!!
