The only one I know that apparently does agreements is David Beckham.
Hummmm. Would they have let us know it was a superstar athlete and not just a superstar? I’m thinking it’s someone else, but I can’t figure out whom.

I think Beckham is a great guess. It doesn’t specify anything beyond superstar but Becks is internationally known AND the pregnant wife could be making the girls nervous. He def uses agreements.

Yep, Beckham was my first guess when I read this. I wonder whether the clue is hinting towards “Superstars”, which was a British TV sports competition show in the 1970s and 80s – hence a footballer/sportsman (rather than an actor or musician).
(Incidentally, I wouldn’t describe Beckham as an “athlete” either – to me that means track and field sports, not team sports.)
Davew, thanks for explaining. Not being a sports fan myself, I wasn’t aware the world “athlete” was only used to specify track and field rather than team sports.
Your take on the use of “superstar” is certainly interesting, but I am still not convinved it’s Beckham. I am not even sure it’s a male.

I think it means that there are girls coming forward with stories about their affairs with a famous guy (a la the Tiger Woods incident) and some tabloids are sitting on it for the moment.
