BlindGossip – This celebrity couple presents a unified front to the public, but there’s trouble behind the scenes. Mom wants the kid/s to carry on the family tradition of high-profile careers in show business. Dad wants the kid/s to have a school and sports-filled childhood with absolutely no television or film roles. Not even as extras. Guess he won’t be happy when he learns that Mom has taken the kid/s to professional photographer for head shots and has been lining up auditions behind his back.

Agreed. Jennifer Garner appears to show lack of sound judgement when it comes to exposing her young children to the paps so much, where Ben is rarely seen in public with the children.
Lack of sound judgement? She’s out with her kids. What is she supposed to do? Hide them under her skirt? Keep them locked in the house?
At their young age, yes, keep them home more often. They are the most overexposed children of celebrity parents right now, and why? Everyone says it’s because she’s living her life like us normal people, except, she isn’t a normal person, with a normal life, and unfortunately the truth of it is her children will never have a normal life. FYI, being followed and photographed on a daily basis is not a normal life for a child. As a mother myself, it bothers me that she continues to expose them, on an almost daily basis, to such negativity. They are still very young. Protect them, keep them home more often. They have this massive home, yet they never seem to be there. There are mother’s groups for children to play together at each other homes. It appears to me that Jennifer Garner likes the attention and in my opinion she shows lack of sound judgement when it comes to the exposure of her children.
most of those pictures that show her with her kids are from her picking up her daughter from school, at the park or out shopping. Not sure how that shows lack of judgement, if anything it shows that in spite of her celebrity status she’s still doing what lots of parents do with their kids on a daily basis (normal everyday activities).
Lainey, if I’m not mistaken, has made quite a few hints that Jen tips off the paps to come take photos. You see may more “candid” photos of Violet and Suri than any other celeb kids.

Maybe you see more candid shots because she’s actually involved with her kids? Her kids always look healthy and happy to be out with mom on their way to school or shopping or wherever. Perhaps giving them a normal life just gives the paps more opportunities to get photos as opposed to locked in the house, nanny-raised celeb children.
But would acting be a “family tradition” as both Ben and Jen are 1st generation actors?
Totally agreed (though it pains me to think that Jen would be so shady because I think she is so adorable).
Clues:
-Unified front: of all the celeb couples with kids out there, Bennifer are probably the most in unison about how much they love their kids, how they value family life, what they want for their family, what their priorities and parental duties are, etc.
-Dad wants kids to play sports and have normal childhoods: Ben (and his BFF Matt Damon) grew up middle class in Boston and have both greatly cherished their upbringing and the normalcy of their earlier lives. It’s not surprising that Ben would see this positive experience as something that he’d like to provide for his own children (though how normal can your childhood be when your parents are Bennifer!?)
-Dad in the photo has a brown crewcut and sporty looking outfit like Ben rocks in a bunch of his films. Also I’m probably reading waaay to much into it but orange = Irish flag color and Boston = Irish capitol of the US.
-Mom’s wearing a scrubby outfit: loose tee and looser pants. When she’s not on the red carpet, this is exactly how Jen dresses.
-The adorable little kid not only looks like she could be one of their kids, but her pink scrunchie makes me think of Jen’s role in 13 Going on 30.
With regard to the “family tradition,” I don’t think that it necessarily has to mean that there is a need for previously existing generations of actors. If the kids became show-biz types, a tradition would thus be created. Also, Ben does have a brother, so maybe this can be seen as a “family” career.
Anyway, this guess makes the most sense to me.

Not that this is a great guess but for some reason, I am thinking Catherine Zeta-Jones/Michael Douglas and their children Dylan and Carys. There is a family tradition of high-profile careers…first Kirk Douglas, than Michael Douglas. Also you rarely ever see pics of their kids, which indicates to me that at least one parent is trying to keep them out of the spotlight.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas were the first ones I thought of, too. She looks like she’s ambitious, while I can see how MD would want his kids sheltered, especially after what happened with his son.

I like this guess! Gwynneth was a child actress; she attached herself to Spielberg as a child and hasn’t let go yet. And I understand her husband came from a well-to-do family, with no showbiz connections, so he might prize normality.

There is a family tradition on John’s side – almost his entire family are or have been in show business, appearing in plays, acting coaches, etc. His mother appeared in Saturday Night Fever, his sister appeared in Grease, and so on.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick? Sarahs been acting since she was a child so it might seem she’d like the kids to follow. Matthew is the son of an actor (James Broderick) so that’s where the “family tradition” line comes in. She’s for it, he’s against it.
