When the movie came out that this female comedian was in, she was still in a relationship but it was on its downhill spiral. She was secretly involved with her costar from her television show. Now she and her costar have significant others but met up for a one final fling last summer. Her then husband thought she was sleeping with someone from her movie, he never suspected a relationship that mimicked her television character’s.
The only person I can think of right now is Sherri Shepard

There’s no “female comedian” I can think of that fits (Can’t be Ellen DeGeneres or Sarah Silverman or Tina Fey)..
The closest I think of is Helen Hunt who broke up with Hank Azaria shortly after “As Good As It Gets” came out. And Helen’s character on “Mad About You” did have a mini-affair. But were Helen and Hank married? Also, Helen is more of a comedic actress than a comedian..

ok female comic on TV got divorced recently…was maybe in a movie a year or two ago. On her TV show she has a male love interest. The only name that comes to mind is Christina Applegate.
Was she ever married? Didn’t her boyfriend/fiancé die and now she’s engaged and pregnant? I could be wrong.

i agree. the clues are that the movie “came out” (like coming out of the closet); the BI pic shows a woman and a woman (albeit one in a mirror, but still); the involvements are gender-neutral except the husband (the co-star lover has a “significant other” who could be a woman as easily as a man); the husband didn’t suspect she might be in a relationship like the one of her TV character (so that’d mean an actress playing a lesbian).

I agree. A comedic actress who’s lines are written and directed for her is very different from a stand up comic.
As someone who performs stand-up comedy, I completely agree. Both require timing, but believe me, writing your own material, finding your own voice, and then standing up on a stage alone and performing it. . . that is different. Especially when you bomb!
And was not, btw, trying to suggest that Tea Leone is what I’d consider a comedian. . . she has, however, been in sitcoms and such.

Jenna Fischer also came to mind, but she no longer just has a significant other, since she married her new guy.
It could be her- she was married to someone else for most of the run of the show. And yes, a husband is a significant other. Was she in a movie, though? Too lazy to go and look it up.
Oh and Pam was engaged to Roy when she got with Jim. Is that mimicking her character?

I really like the Jenna Fischer guess for this.
She was in “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” and did some promotion for it when it came out in December of 2007, and then divorced James Gunn in 2008. She married Lee Kirk this summer (thanks IMDb!), and Krasinski married Emily Blunt EXACTLY one week later. That timeline fits perfectly for a last fling, and we all know BuzzFoto blinds aren’t usually too hard to crack.

I agree with Jenna Fischer guess. She and John K both got married last summer (last fling), their characters were involded; her then husband – she’s since remarried. Not sure if I consider her a comedienne, but the other clues fit.
Ohhhh, and with the guesses that Emily Blount was sleeping with a steady stream of fellows in previous blinds makes this more interesting!
