I dont disagree you may be right, but who would be stupid enough to hire her for show when she keeps on going in and out of rehab now? What are you going to do when she fails another test and goes back into the slammer? Who would agree to insure a show who’s star could disappear at any moment and destroy it’s ability to draw a crowd? If a producer is really considering her, they would be crazy.
totally agree. The demands of daily/nightly shows would be too much for Lohan. No producer in their right mind would expose themselves to such a risk. She physically probably wouldn’t be able to do it either.
Agreed. LL has another court date coming up. She needs some serious rehab away from the bright lights and to make it successful it will take some considerable time.

I would doubt that this is Lindsay – she is too much of a wreck now, and to be considering a role actually implies that someone has offered her this, and I doubt anyone is that insane right now.
I am wondering if this is Britney – based on being called a performer not an actress. And I can’t think of many others who will be wanting to prove that they are “serious about her craft and capable of a comeback”.

Short Bus didn’t “get her act together” by herself, her handlers did it all so she could go through the motions like a trained dog and make some serious, and badly needed, money. I do hope it’s Blohan, it will be interesting to see the Major Fail.
Plus isn’t she working on a new album right now? I don’t think she has time to be on Broadway.
It’s being reported that the conservatorship is coming to an end. She’ll still have to prove she can do it on her own, without being watched 24/7.
Brit barely got through that tour. She was so bad in Australia that the media and fans were all over it. If Brit was going to be on Broadway the producer would ensure that she was off whatever the heck she’s on – no-one was a zombie on stage ruining the show. On stage you can’t hide anything. I doubt Brit has the work ethic to do countless shows in such a high-pressured stage environment. Too lazy. Bump out a hasty album instead, do a few lazy videos and wait for the money to come in.

Katie makes perfect sense as a guess. She’s not the greatest singer or dancer, but she can passably pull it off, especially in a featured role. Is “Chicago” still on Broadway? I could see her easily in the featured part of Velma Kelly.

I just saw that Sister Act will be coming to Broadway from London. Although Whoopi made an appearance in the London production, I’m still going with Lindsay.

“Means business” also made me think of Lindsay’s role in “Mean Girls”. Also, she does actually have a nice voice. It’s not awesome, but it is pretty good. Despite her trainwreck status, she still has her fans. She is actually talented and pretty beautiful when she is cleaned up. So, I bet a lot of people would want to see her. Also, she is kind of being forced to at least TRY to clean up her act now.

Jennifer Love Hewitt? She just did a guest spot on SVU and it was absolutely her best performance since PARTY OF FIVE. She’s not phenomenal but she can definitely sing. She released a few albums in the late 90′s, plus she was in Sister Act 2 & Kids Inc.

I know she’s been working on new material for an album and even though she was in the Tyler Perry movies, I think she is due for a “comeback” since her Superbowl incident seem to do some damage to her already great career. If BG is giving us clues, these are the “clues” that lead me to believe it’s Janet. “Getting her act together” – “Together Again” song. “Move to New York for a while” – Her Song “Let’s Wait A While”. “Capable for a comeback” – “Come Back to Me” Song.

I can just see it now-”Little Women” the musical staring Lindsay, Brittnay, Kristen Stewart and Demi Lovato with Vicki Laurence as Marmee and Kellan Lutz as Laurie the male lead.
No matter what the name recognition at this point do you honestly think with the insurance costs that any sane producer would hire these girls for a new production much less get backing from the angels. An ongoing production of “Chicago” maybe-mostly full of short run roles from has-beens or currently unemployed tv actresses’ Think of others who can sing like Christina- and its not Demi Moore.Lea Michele or Jessica Simpson.
I know Lindsay seems too easy, but I wouldn’t be surprised. She’s a decent singer and needs a “comeback,” plus an excuse to move. She needs to get out of LA stat, and having the musical would definitely give her a good one.

I know Lindsay is a cliched answer (up there with Brangelina) for blinds, but I really think this is her.
“good excuse to move to New York” — For one, LL is from there…and for two, once she gets out of rehab and serves any jail sentence, she’ll still be on probation in CA…meaning that the only way she could re-locate to NY for any period of time would be for work, per judge approval.
“serious about her craft and capable of a comeback” — I can’t find any reference to this, but I feel like she recently said something about her being serious about her craft/career.
Also, her name in lights WOULD still draw the crowds. I think lots of people would go, just to see what she does and if she’s a hot mess or actually pulling it off.
there is no way that this in lindsay lohan. even movie producers wont hire her because she is completely uninsurable and cant be trusted to show up on time and perform. There is no way a stage producer would hire her and insure her. she is too much of a liability.

Immediately after her release from jail, the NY Times ran an article titled “Can New York Save Lindsay Lohan?” The article discussed how the demands and discipline required of theater would be positive for Lohan and her career. And move her away from the fishbowl celebrity culture of LA. With how media and celebrity works, her people may have had that article written to get the negotiations going.

The problem with all the Lindsay guesses is she HAS announced what she is doing next-the Linda Lovelace Inferno movie and now due to her failed drug test she is in danger of not being allowed to travel to NOLA to film. So NYC would be a stretch too.

Murphy & Bassett starred together in “Vampire In Brooklyn” in 1995, the same year Basset starred with Whitney in “Waiting To Exhale.” Maybe I’m stretching for a clue here but that was the only thing in the entire picture that I could really get anything out of…
