ME-OW is right!! Chenoweth is BEAUTIFUL, albeit on the thin side; but she’s witty, talented, and I mourn the loss of Pushing Daisies!!! However, this adoration vocalized, she WAS my first thought also. But I’m still holding out that it’s someone else!

I totally agree with Kristin on the Letterman clip! Customer service sucks in this country and the fact that KK was able to Tweet and BOOM problem solved….I say “Well done!” Kristin Chenoweth is my new hero! (And if tw*t is the word everybody is going nuts over….jeez. Kathy Griffin has been saying it since Twitter first came on the scene. Get over it. It’s a silly word more than a “bad” word.)

Cheno looked so frail and made up at the Tony’s. In her most famous role as Glinda in “Wicked”, she appeared in a bubble, similar to the shape of the Tony in the picture.
Tony is short for Antoinette Perry. She was an actress and director on Broadway, American theater. they named the award after her.
I think it’s either of the 2 big movie stars who performed this season – Scarlett or Catherine Zeta-Jones. My money’s on CZJ, who was VERY energetic while accepting her award and who had some health issues over the year.

Catherine Zeta Jones, she got super skinny and I thought her “Send In The Clowns” rendition at the Tony awards was extremely strange. And during her acceptance speech she seem erratic.
Erratic like almost every other person who has a hard time speaking after winning an award?
I agree – her speech and behavior was odd – more than other people shocked by a win.
Well with the line, “there’s not hard evidence of that”, it seems very “Murder, She Wrote”. First of all, I don’t Angela would be doing coke and plus, her TV show character looked for evidence. Meaning that Catherine would be the obvious suspect.
I saw “A Little Night’s Music” and I LOVE Catherine. I would be shocked if she did develope a C*ke habit, but I would still LOVE her.
My vote is for CZJ. A friend who was at this year’s Tony Awards said she was VERY energetic backstage prior to her appearance onstage.
Alice Ripley for a serious guess for 2. The ‘Oh she’s just carrying on her character’ excuse for all her off-stage crazy doesn’t hold any water, so she’s either naturally bonkers or sniffing the snow. And her voice has deteriorated quite staggeringly in the last year.
Ripley’s a massive pothead, but not-to my knowledge–much for coke. (ANYMORE.)

That does not look like coke at all. It’s all over her- top of her nose, her ear, her back. The only way that is coke is if she dumped her head inside a 20 gallon bucket of it and was too stupid to realize that she was about to go outside. That’s a bad makeup job if anything.
I think this is that silicone powder that they use now. If there is too much, it photographs like coke or powder. I think Nicole had it happen to her (or another uber famous tight *ss).

This may be a bit of a stretch but ” judging from her behavior all season,” reminds me of when Kristin Chenoweth was a judge on American Idol, so I’m going with her.
The accompanying photo has a clue! The silver medallion is being held up by what looks like a “C”. CZJ! She got sick if I recall and looked a bit haggard and overweight – maybe she started a habit for weight loss purposes?
That “C” is a regular part of the Tony Statue. It is so it can spin.

Alice Ripley has always been like that – she’s has, let’s just say mood swings, but that’s nothing new, it’s common knowledge. And she’s not a cokehead.
Chenoweth has a crazy way about her, she has so much energy, but she’s an opera singer, and she’s way too disciplined and focused to do anything to her voice.
HOWEVER, I’ve heard rumors from friends of mine who worked on A Little Night Music – It’s Zeta Jones. And for those of you who saw ALNM more than once … never the same performance from her, sometimes it was frenetic, sometimes it was like she was coming down.
I’m happy that my first comment was something that I know about!

I Love that we are blaming CZJ bad performance of “Clowns” on drugs. It was just bad casting and direction. That song is a monologue. It is not written to be sung but talked thru. I was shocked by what I saw and hope Sondheim recovered.
@Pegasian – Every song in musical theater is a monologue, they’re just sung through monologues. Send In The Clowns is a sung through song, not talked through. The phrasing is clipped, but it is still a song, there are notes that need to be hit. It was written for Glynis Johns, who is an amazing actor, but an OK singer. It’s a heavy acting song (but still a song!)
Also, Trevor Nunn was the director on ALNM, who is one of the greatest directors of all time. I think it’s pretty safe to say he worked with what he got – a difficult to work with-thinks whipping her head around equals intensity actress with either incredible mood swings and a lot of nosebleeds – or a coke problem.
Funny this came up on here. Spent the summer in NY getting rush tickets for Broadway shows, and heard through the rumor mill from someone who knows someone who knows Catherine Zeta Jones’ dresser that she is a major coke head and was super coked-up at the Tonys. Not that I really needed to hear this anyways…her performance at the Tonys was enough.
