Didn’t Jessica Sierra have a baby recently? I would hope it’s not her. Maybe Nikki McKibbon. Both have fallen pretty far due to drugs so neither would be a shock.
Have to say, when I saw “American Idol” in the title, I had my fingers crossed it would be a different sort of BI about someone from the show. Alas, another day, maybe.

Somewhere in the memory bank, I seem to recall that Fantasia was having money issues. Don’t ask where I got this because it was so long ago and so “in passing”, that I don’t even know if I am remembering it correctly.
I like Fantasia, and really hope it isn’t her, but it seems a logical guess to me.
You are remembering right. Her house was going into foreclosure. Not sure what ever happened with that but she was certainly having money problems. Becoming a sudden star and getting all that money out of the blue should come with money management classes.

I’m wondering…because it says “Idol” and not “Idol Contestant”. Does that narrow it down to past winners only? In that case, my vote is Fantasia. She’s a hot mess.
Probably not, saying “former American Idol” sounds better and gets more attention than “D-lister from that singing competition”. It’s kind of like how everyone in adult films is a “star” even if they only made one movie and never got that famous from it.
I think it would say “contestant” and not “idol” if it weren’t a winner. Plus, Katharine McPhee was a winner. Totally Fantasia!!
McPhee didn’t win, she was a runner up. Taylor Hicks won that season.
