A Los Angeles publicist who supports animal rights groups instructed this celeb, who appears on television more than a dozen times each year, to participate in a 2009 anti-fur promotion with PETA. The spouse was recently overheard telling one friend over the phone: “It’s no big deal. They just told us we couldn’t wear our coats this year.” For the past six years, both celeb and spouse have actively courted a prominent fur retailer, seeking support for a children’s charity for which this celebrity serves as Honorary Chairman. The charity’s top sponsor is a pharmaceutical company that tests its products on lab animals, a fact that also doesn’t appear to bother PETA.

I agree Pink is a hypocrite but does she appear on t.v. that often? She once criticized some royal for hunting or something. However when Billy Bush interviewed her she had a bear skinned rug on the floor. Billy pointed it out and she laughed it off. That’s why I ignore Hollywood. That’s like when they tell you how to vote but don’t vote themselves.
I love Pink to death but she still wears leather as well. I dont think its her because of the tv appearances unless they are talking about performing at award shows and such but I dont think that is about a dozen times a year.
Pink is a moron. She spent ages going around telling Americans to boycott Australian exports because of our “abuses of sheep” in sheering mills… but she didn’t have any idea of what she was talking about.

Scratch the Kidney Foundation – he has worked with Shadow Buddies Foundation – they give buddies to medically challenged children in hospitals.

I am most tempted to say Elton John. First of all, he works with a lot of AIDS charities and even started his own. Secondly, he’s known for the fur or fur-like garments he’s donned in the past. Finally, the blind coyly mentions this person’s “spouse” instead of being gender specific. Aren’t Elton and his partner married (in California, anyway)? And although he’s not a TV actor, he is on quite a bit between awards shows and concerts, etc.
However I can’t find any evidence of him being a spokesperson for PETA. So, maybe not. Just thought I’d throw it out there.
I doubt its Elton as he’s too famous to be “instructed” by a publicist. And he and his partner are married in England, not California – two men can’t get married in California.

the part about appearing on TV more than a dozen times a year leads me to believe it’s some sort of reality host. someone like simon cowell or paula abdul (though she’s off AI), because a show like ‘American Idol’ is only on certain times of the year, not year round. any other reality show hosts who are affiliated with PETA?

Also, he was with the Kansas City Chiefs for a number of years until recently, so the ‘six years of courting a prominent fur retailer’ could be Alaskan Furs in Kansas City. (He was pretty popular when he played there.) Alaskan has used KC celebrities in local ads before, and they heavily advertise nationally in high-profile publications as well.
I have no idea who this is, but going along with some of the previous football player guesses, I would say the “appears on television more than a dozen times each year” would be a possible football reference. Pro football has 12 games in a season, right?
