I know Tyler has been cancelling concerts and he has been difficult to deal with. There is even word that he might retire. Too bad.
That was my first thought too.
This was my only thought. And he made another trip to rehab earlier in the year. I would assume quitting Aerosmith sure would be considered something a junkie would do.
This was my first thought, too. My husband and I saw Aerosmith in July — it was a great concert but Steven Tyler just seemed to be lacking something. No “oomph”. Whoever this is, I hope they get help soon.
Can’t blame anyone but himself for his using. As an addict, who apparently had some clean time, he knows to call a sponsor or get to a meeting. Hope he finds his way out of this.
I can see whoever it is looking back at a long career, tired of the biz, and saying to himself, ‘ah, the hell with it’ and resume his old ways…I say Steve Tyler.

That was my first thought.
Riding the horse is a euphemism for using heroin so that’s not necessarily a clue in and of itself; however, Tyler was the first one who came to my mind as well. He hurt himself pretty badly when he fell off stage earlier this year and it could be that pain meds triggered him to start using again. Whoever it is, makes me sad to see anyone ruining their life with drugs.
Saw an interview with Joe Perry that said Steven quit after they did a show somewhere, I forgot where. I do believe this is him. In fact, I’m nearly certain he said he found out Steven quit by reading it on the internet like Steven’s twitter or something? Anyone else hear this?

Ah, thanks. I read so many sites I can’t remember what I read where and on this one I wasnt even 100% the reading it on the internet part was correct. Yes, I doubt without drugs he would quit by Twitter or whatever he used. I’m sure he is holed up with his girlfriend (he always has a young one since his divorce a few years back) and doing drugs again.
This is so Steven Tyler, My first and only guess, and most everyone else think it’s him too – so let’s call this one solved.

But if you look at his age vs hers, she IS young. I do think its Tyler. Too bad, Aerosmith is one of my all time faves!

To US, who have to go to work, pay bills, raise kids. To a jaded, middle aged, seen-it-all, done-it-all, entitled, overindulged ‘rock legend’ with too much money, what does HE care if he spends what remains of his life high as a kite 24/7? It’s not like he’s gonna clean up so he can go out and build orphanages or something! I can see him holed up in his mansion, neither clean nor sober, happy as a pig in mud….
Sad, I don’t want it to be Steven Tyler. From what I’ve read he was thrown when his wife Teresa left him for a contractor. He is amazing – I hope he can see his way out of this.
Just speculating…who is Eric Clapton dating.
Tyler’s girlfriend doesn’t impress me as all that young. And, as an old, rock fan, when I think of Tyler, I don’t think legend like I do with Clapton.
Hopefully Eric Clapton isn’t dating anyone…because he’s married!

Interesting guess. I just read his book and wow. Heroin can really do a number on people. Can’t believe he is still alive. I do still think this is Steven Tyler though because Kat’s demons were alcohol from what I know and she is cleaned up from that. I doubt she would start him on heroin. But you never know, thats why its a blind.
Okay…I didn’t want it to be Steven. The happiest–most euphoric moments of my life (and it has been a long, happy one) were when I was at an Aerosmith concert. But, back on heroin, and Back In The Saddle Again. Damn.

Interesting choice, heroin; it makes me think the person in the BI is an old timer like Tyler.
I just saw a video of him filmed last month trying to dance awkwardly around a stage and then fall off the stage and hit his head.
I thought he’d be much more limber than that normally.
