BlindGossip – Dr. Arnie Klein – Michael Jackson’s dermatologist – just did an interview with Harvey Levin of TMZ. One of the topics they discussed was Michael Jackson’s peculiar habit of whipping out his privates in front of other people (including children) to pee in a cup so that he wouldn’t have to walk down the hallway to the bathroom. Dr. Klein said he didn’t think that the habit was all that unusual. Then he told a short story of a female country singer he knew. He said that she told him that when she lived in the country, she would purposely pee in the bed every night just to stay warm. Who might he be talking about?

She was really poor growing up in the country so maybe that explains it?

I think Dolly Parton was one of those dirt poor kids who had to sleep in a bed with three or four other siblings so I hope for their sake it wasn’t her!
Um, Dr. Klein was Michael Jackson’s personal doc for years, so he knows both Whacko and the country singer.
I come from a place where it actually gets cold, like forty below for weeks straight cold. Peeing in your bed would make things worse – water doesn’t insulate, it conducts the heat away. I think this is made up.

I agree with you, Charlene. If this was even said, I would believe it was said in jest. You know, something “it used to get so cold where I lived that I’d pee in the bed just to stay warm!”. Almost sounds like a Blue Collar Comedy bit. An idiot from Hollywood would probably believe it was true!
A country singer peeing the bed – could be ANY of ‘em, lol. But I’d guess Dolly. Though once the heat fades, you are lying in your own cold pee-soaked bed.

I’m thinking this person peed not to make the bed warm, but because it was that cold out of bed that once you got out, it was too hard to warm up again when you got back in – they’d rather pee in bed and stay warm than get out and get cold.

this is silly. it is known that when one pees in the bed, it actually gets colder for the person in the bed. i’m potting training my son and if he goes down for a nap without a diaper, he wakes up when he pees on himself and tells me he is cold and wet.
Dolly Parton talked about doing this in an interview years ago.
…and the funny thing is, she’s amazingly brilliant – not a country music fan, but I’ve always loved her. While seemingly self-effacing and making fun of herself, the jokes rather on you. She probably said this in jest to exaggerate the point of being a yokel, yet we’re the yokels for not getting the hyperbole.
Yeah, I agree! Not a country fan by any means, but I *am* a huge Dolly fan. I could see her making a joke about doing something like that–and this moron doc took it seriously.

I remember her saying that. She said that she would share a bed with several other kids and that sometimes one of them would pee and they loved it because it was so warm. That was years and years ago but I remember that clearly. Who could forget it?

I come from country that’s even colder than those country singers’ homes.
They were rich compared to what I had as a child.
It’s hard to believe about the peeing. It’s not going to keep you warm long; the warmth wears off, and there you are stuck in bed with cold, wet clothing. And the stench!
Then they’d have to wash the bedding.
Also, if siblings were sharing the bed, how cruddy is that?
Is it worth all that trouble when a pot can be set beside the bed?
We kids also had to sleep in threes mainly because we were too poor to afford more beds.
And jeans worked! No pj’s; that’s no help! Jeans are the greatest!

This (all the pee talk) is all because the doctor was trying to explain why that one little boy could describe MJ’s penis in great detail… what a bizarre excuse! Seriously, if MJ was such a public pee’er for allll these years, wouldn’t we have heard a rumor or two of this before now? Even if we totally dismissed it? The Dr is whacked.

The peeing in the cup thing is an old stage practice–for men, anyway. Mid-show and can’t curb the urge, whip out the peen and pee in a cup. No fuss, no mussing the elaborate costume. MJ was in the biz since he was 5-6. Probably did it in a cup a lot and without a second thought.
