Yes I read that somewhere. I know that Scarlett is Jewish but I don’t believe she practice. I think she said that she dislikes it when celebrities thank God or Jesus in their award acceptance speeches. Also she celebrates a “little of both” referring to Christmas and Hanukkah. So I think it might be easier for her to cross over to another religion.

So do Christians. They send them to some kind of Jesus rehab. My point was that nothing in the blind even remotely suggested homosexuality and you are making a pretty big leap from a vague item to specifically targeting the individuals sexuality. I haven’t heard of anyone joining Scientology to cure them of being gay. They may join because they’re idiots and have low self esteem, but it’s a pretty big stretch to assume that one joins a cult because they’re gay and need a cure for it.

When I was involved, my sexuality was disclosed. They wanted to fix me. I was told a story about 2 gay men who went into an auditing session together. By the end of the session, the man receiving the auditing was straight.
Yeah, I didn’t believe it either, just saying what I was told. You can’t exactly call these people liars to their faces when you are in their complex. That would mean there’s something wrong with YOU for not believing everything they say and YOU would need to be ‘fixed’.

I too believe in change. I don’t believe that supressing your innate sexual identity because this religion or that thinks you should have sex with someone else is “Change”, nor do I believe it is healthy.
Now if your sexual ‘urges’ include animals, children, or anyone/thing else that doesn’t have the capacity to consent, those should be suppressed and even examined. But those (identity vs. urge) are two completely different things.

Hubbard said that homosexuals were part of the group of people to be eliminated “quietly and without sorrow”. Look up “Tone Scale”, Scientology’s measure of mental/spiritual health. Anything below 2.0 on the Tone Scale causes mental and spiritual harm to a Scientologist. Gays are at 1.1 on the Tone Scale.
Look up the story of Michael Pattinson, who was hustled for more than a half a million dollars by Scientology in order to “cure” his homosexuality. Mike made it up to OTVIII, the highest level of the Church, and he still wasn’t “cured”. He’s now out of the Church, out of the closet, and happier than he’s ever been.

There is a Jewish group called Jews Offering New Alternatives to Homosexuality (JONAH). It has a lot of Orthodox and Hasidic (mostly men) who want to be straight and are willing to work on it. Their success rates are based on motivated individuals, not trying to convince anyone to do anything.
