CDAN – What married with child/ren barely an A list movie actor is very quiet on planes. It isn’t so much that he is quiet but rather that he will not talk to the flight attendants or any passengers who approach him. When the flight attendant asks him for a drink he has either told his assistant ahead of time or whispers it to his assistant who passes it along to the flight attendant. This is repeated throughout the flight. If a passenger comes up to him during the flight, the assistant talks for the actor and the actor either nods or shakes his head in response to autograph requests. Oh, he does make exceptions for very attractive women.

First of all, Cruise has his own jet and he’s very friendly and amazing with the crew. I know first hand. Second, Robert Downey Jr has flown private too and he’s hilarious and cool. Nick Cage, from my experience, fits the bill.

No, RDJ doesn’t have a private jet, the movie studios fly him in one from time to time. Hugh Jackman has as well. Not sure about Christian Bale…haven’t seen him.
And Nick Cage lost his plane because he didn’t pay the bills, and he’s TOTALLY strange and shy and now flies commercial.

Very few celebs outright own their own private jets any more. They get flown around by the movie companies, or they ‘jet-pool’ (that is they all pay into sharing a jet). I suppose if you have enough money for that kind of thing you are too good to mingle with the commoners! I say Russell Crow, too.
people who can fly private jets due it for more than just privacy and comfort. they also do it because its a smoother, faster ride due to the higher altitude. kevin costner popped right into mind for me.
