BlindGossip – Who knew that there was trouble brewing behind the scenes of this television show? Two of the actors have a feud going back several years. Actor A - a rather intense fellow – was dating a woman a few years ago about whom he was very serious. He even talked to his friends about proposing to her on their one-year anniversary. However, when he found out that she was also dating Actor B – arguably the more handsome of the two – he went ballistic and they broke up. The woman didn’t last with Actor B either. When each actor auditioned for their show, they didn’t know the other was also auditioning (but not for the same part). It wasn’t until each were offered the job that they discovered their rival was a member of the cast. While there have been no fisticuffs so far, there have been a few nasty words uttered under their breath within earshot of the other.

That’s a good guess, PW’s character is pretty intense on Vampire Diaries. Could be a clue.

I think the dating “years ago” seems to point to men a little older than these two.

Ian S. was born in ‘78 I think so it could be possible that he dated someone “years ago”. And I got the impression that the show is fairly new; otherwise we’d have heard of tension behind the scenes AGES ago.
Yeah they are 27 and 31, so they aren’t that young. When I looked at their imdb pages, they have both been on a few of the same shows so that could be how they were both dating the same girl.

Definitely. Also, I know on good authority that the woman who hooked up with both of them is none other than Conchata Ferrell, who plays Berta the maid on the show! It’s been a really sick and twisted environment, working with those three, especially because Sheen (who asked Conchata to marry him—she refused) is still totally in love with her, but she only considers him “a nice afternoon roll” (her words, told to people on the show).
A lot of people on the show and in the executive offices of CBS are terrified that this menage a trois will explode on the tabloid pages—so far, so good, but you never know….

The fact that it says “two of the actors” makes me think that it’s 2 characters in a larger ensemble… not the only 2 main characters.

Yeah, I’m leaning toward two guys in an ensemble cast as well. Just feels that way. Seems much more likely that they wouldn’t know about each other during casting if it was a large cast than if it was a small one. I really hope it’s no one on Lost. I don’t think so, because it seems to be a love fest among that cast. Grey’s Anatomy seems to obvious with all the strife they’ve had. It’s probably one of the NCIS/CSI/L&O shows. But as I don’t watch any of them, I have no idea who the actors might be.
A year or two ago, I heard almost exactly the same thing about Mandy Patinkin and Thomas Gibson of Criminal Minds. Just not the part about the woman.
I read that too–going back to their days together on Chicago Hope. They didn’t know each had been cast in CM until the first table read.
I’m pretty sure that was a revealed Enty item-but after Mandy left the show.
Going with “this is a separate BI”, then I would look for a new show that debuted Summer/Fall 2009, that has at least a cast of 7 with two over-35 males who have at least five years of roles on their imdb pages.
