If he’s hot, I wouldn’t mind having a gander. Having said that, I did some googling and found this, “James (Morisson) is in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Gill…couple’s first child, a daughter named Elsie in September 2008″.
and he’s from warwickshire, isn’t that sort of north? Although “mates up north” is making me think he’s scottish. more research!
“up north” means the north of England (Yorkshire, Lancashire and above, including Durham, Northumberland etc). Basically anything over the Watford Gap – although I might be wrong. Warkwickshire is Midlands, which is more northern than London, granted, but I think we’re looking more Northern. It’s traditionally more working class and lower on the socio-economic scale, meaning they seem themselves as being a bit more straightforward and “less given to Southern poncing”. Or words to that effect.
One possibility is the lovely Gareth Gates who’s from Yorkshire and is quite gay-friendly. I think he’s engaged, although there was a little controversy about him possibly cheating recently.

My first thought was Robbie Williams, as the clues do appear to fit, although the man is a bit of a hairball.
A quick google of “Robbie Williams long-term girlfriend” to see if he actually has one (as I didn’t think he did) though threw up a little something on the first page, which makes me think if it isn’t Robbie it could be former/current band mate Mark Owen.
I can only think of Robbie Williams too as a week ago or so there was all that publicity about him wanting to marry his long term girlfriend.
But Robbie has been photographed loads of times in women’s garb, so I doubt he’d be embarrassed about it.
You know, it surprises me that more men don’t crossdress, we have way better clothes, especially the underwear.

I am rolling my eyes at celebs, anywho, I say Katie Price and her UFC man Alex Reid. Besides, who can truly say they know how to define long-term in celebrity years.

I’m gonna have a guess at Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys, he’s from a Northern band, plus him and presenter Alexa Chung have been pretty long-term.
Also the clue says ‘bet his mates don’t know’ and their most famous song is ‘bet that you look good on the dancefloor’
