Since I don’t watch soaps I couldn’t remember the name of my 1st guess, so I’m going with Robin Strasser from One Life to Live. She looks “over the top” diva-wise. That or some diva guy would be another guess.
Hmmm, Susan Lucci is a hint, but it doesn’t say it’s a soap actress.
Doesn’t “east coast actress” usually refers to either Soap or Broadway. Only a handful of tv series’ are produced on the eastern seaboard?
The L&O franchises are filmed on the East Coast, but no one of Susan Lucci type glamour on those shows. I think Damages is also filmed in New York.
What if the Susan Lucci is a hint about the fact that the woman has been nominated a number of times but only won once? That could be Tony, Emmy, etc. No idea who is would be.

Vanessa Williams. I was watching the Emmys and she wouldn’t take part in a skit with the other nominees, she looked like she was too good for them.

I’m going to go with Vanessa Williams. She was totally too snobby to put her nice eyewear on last night at the Emmy Awards like all her co-nominees did for fun, so I could see her doing this.
That should be “any” of the divas, not “and”. Gah! BI really needs an “edit” button!
Honestly, Vanessa Williams is one of the nicer people in show business. Her dismissing the eyewear on the Emmys was a planned part of what was supposed to be a joke.
This is definitely referring to a soap actress. The BI originally appeared on the Soaps gossip page of that website. It could be an actress on 4 soaps: One Life To Live, As The World Turns, All My Children (which is moving to the West Coast come next year) and Guiding Light (which just ended its 72-years run). I bet it’s Robin Strasser and they’re referring to the recent “Grey Gardens” spoof she and Kassie DePaiva’s characters did on One Life To Live. Robin had the Big Edie part and the costume and makeup people didn’t make her look as aged and downtrodden as they could have.
Was never a fan of gossip girl, but you’re swaying me man. :p
