NewYorkPost – Which elderly print journalist is deep in the closet and trolls Craigslist for younger men? When one asked him what he does for a living, he replied, “Write nonfiction books, news (can’t I be a little discreet?).”

Rupert Murdoch isn’t a journalist but I’ll pick him anyway
I think “print journalist” is code for former vice president of the USA so my vote is Dick Cheney. His name says it all and a retiree does need a hobby. Or it could be Dominc Dunn.
Dominick Dunn
It could be Dom, but I didn’t think he was that careless?
Gore Vidal
i didnt think he was deep in the closet? i thought he was out.
Michael K… LMAO!!!
lollllll. good one.
I’m dying over this one!!! Michael K is SOOOOO very straight (very deep in the closet) LOL!! He’s secretly in love with Rojo Caliente!
He must have something with Spaghetti Cat…
The Spaghetti Cat thing may be over…hear MK’s moved on to Maru.
he’s a pussay-lover fo’ sho’
I love you guys. :0)
Gore Vidal came to my son’s performance in LA this past spring. He is in a wheelchair and suffering from demencia. But he has a very gentle and kind attendant. Besides, to describe Gore Vidal as a “print journalist” is to oversimplify.
Well, greetings P…sounds like you might be more interesting than this blind! I’m tempted to ask who your son is, but then that would take all the fun out it.
perez lol
Larry King of farts
This sounds like something Dommonic Dunne would say and do. He does write non-fiction and he emphasized “non-fiction” being some of his work is based on true events but always refers to them as “non-fiction”.
his body language sometimes says it.
I’m goin with the dominick dunn guess
I was going to say Rex Reed, but he’s hardly closeted. Though he hasn’t ever declared one way or another.
Tom Friedman.
andy rooney!!
I like Dunn for this one. Rex Reed was really more of a film critic
Roger Friedman
Wrong on Dominick Dunne! He had prostate cancer 20 years ago and had to have an operation which left him not able to have sex with.. anyone! He is known for being celibate.
How about Graydon Carter (Vanity Fair)
I still think it’s Dominick Dunne. Just because that part of you can’t perform doesn’t mean you don’t like to…umm…”perform on” another person. Of course, I wasn’t entirely sure DD was in the closet at all, much less “deep” in the closet.
Bob Woodward.
I have no idea but is troll a huge clue? Did this journalist write about trolls at one point? (Hahaha)
The mannerism of Dominick Dunne makes me think he is the one.

OH! You’re my new favorite blogger fyi
Dominick Dunne was married and has children. He loved his wife very much even though they divorced. He has written extensively about this. And he has written fiction. I do not see him trolling for anything, he has too much old school class. Read some of his excellent articles regarding the low lifes he encounters through social circles and you will agree. I really admire his work. SHAME ON YOU.
While he may have had a lovely relationship with his wife, that does not preclude this being about him. No one, but no one knows what makes another person tick. While he may be quite talented and a great guy, you just never know. Being nice and talented and trolling are not mutually exclusive.
I thought Dominick Dunne and his wife divorced because he was gay, but they remained dear friends until her death. I am wondering if this is current as he is quite ill at the moment. Also, if the source is one of the young men he trolled, how reliable could he (the source) be?
Rex Reed’s interviews with celebs were compiled into several ‘non-fiction’ books in the past.
Rex Reed is not “deeply closeted” … he isn’t even shallowly closeted.
Rex couldn’t find the closet.
Robert Novak
Wolf Blitzer (from CNN)
Christopher Hitchens
i think it’s Dominick Dunne.
in an article about him from a while back it is mentioned that he was obsessed with a story about a gay socialite in a murder trial…. hmmm…
here’s the quote:
“At boarding school, Dunne developed an interest in the ugly side of wealth and celebrity. In 1943, when a gold-digging hustler named Wayne Lonergan was accused of murdering his socialite wife (the daughter of his gay lover), Dunne couldn’t get enough, risking expulsion on a daily basis by sneaking off campus to read accounts of the sordid trial in the New York papers.”

well they say if you hear it long enough its true. D is for Dominic Dunn!!
Um, if this is the same guy – he actually contacted me on A4A. He told me he is a journalist and covers politics on TV. Name’s Jeff. I looked up his number online and all I got was J and a last name. But the last name listed must have been a fake name. He wouldn’t send me a photo for “discretion” but wanted to go out with me on a date. Hello . . . if you’re a tv personality in the closet, why would you go on a “date” with a guy in public? Anyway, I never met up with the guy because the whole thing creeped me out.
Never mind, I just read again and it says print. Page Six should print my blind item then! HA
