CDAN – This married B list movie actress has seen her career slowly slide to the point where she is more likely a C. It is only her looks and her name recognition that keeps her hovering at that B line. Anyway, she has been in this space before and one of the times she was in this space was to discuss her foreign companion who has always helped support her before and during her marriage. Anyway, now she is taking those same skills and has put them to securing herself a role in this A list director’s next movie. She thinks his movies will put her on her way to the A list. The fact that the director is married doesn’t bother her in the least. She wants to be in that movie and will do anything to succeed.

Definitely a solid B around the era of Working Girl (‘88) and in the early 90’s. She was actually in some pretty big movies back then, probably even A-list at that time.

Yep. I’ve been doing a little research, and C Z-J is playing the lead role in Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming film called Cleo. He’s married. Ding, ding! I think we have a winner. She fits the details perfectly, once B-list, especially after the Oscar win, but has never capitalized on it so her career has stagnated to C-list. Only her looks and her name (and the fact that she is married to a famous star) keep her on B-list(ish) status. And haven’t there been other BIs that we suspect involve her and Michael Douglas and him not being able to hold on to her, or something? I’ll have to do a little more research, but I think this is it.

Maybe this is the reason she keeps turning up in his films? Ok, I know, probably not. But I haven’t yet run across anyone else who fits. Gwyneth Paltrow, according to IMDB is not currently filming or preparing to film anything except Iron Man 2, by that certainly-not-A-list director Jon Favereau.
