TV Cast Behaves Like a High School Clique

high-school-1CDAN – Talk about high school. This television show on a non traditional network is headed towards a meltdown. It turns out that one of the bigger stars coming into the show has been basically ignored since the middle of last season. Unless there are lines being spoken, no one talks to this actor. He hasn’t pulled a diva or done anything wrong, it’s just the rest of the cast doesn’t seem to like him or maybe it is something about him. It has got so bad that he just wants off the show and out of all their lives.

Non-traditional network = CW? I’m going to say either Gossip Girl or 90210.

    My guesses:
    The CW- 90210
Actor: Dustin Milligan aka Ethan Ward
Reason: It is already reported he is not coming back to the show/ will only be in a couple of episodes before he’s done.

    The CW- Gossip Girl
Actor: Matthew Settle AKA Rufus Humphrey
The Reason: I don’t actually watch the show, but his resume on imdb looks pretty strong and I’m not sure if he is like a big star on it or not.

ABC Family- The Secret Life of the American Teenager
Actor: Mark Derwin aka George Juergens or John Schneider aka Marshall Bowman
The Reason: John Schneider was already killed off of the show one the first episode of the season. Mark Derwin has a rather impressive resume on imbd, but he seems pretty likeable, but he seems to have less airtime.

I can’t speak for the other shows, but Rufus Humphrey has been on GG since the beginning, so that doesn’t fit the clue.
There is a new character of GG – the son of Rufus and Lilly. He just showed up at the end of last season. Don’t know if he has an strong acting background or anything.

Dustin isn’t coming back to 90210 at all this season. I don’t think it is him. His girlfriend works on the show not exactly frozen out socially.

Someone on Something about Chris, not sure about the cast tho…

  • Lalalinda

    …Jon Gosselin…wait, that’s reality, my bad!

its not non traditional.. but laurence fishburn is a big star on csi…

  • Dirk

Jeff Goldblum on “Law and Order: CI.” It runs on USA before it runs on NBC.

i have had the most unnatural attraction to dustin milligan. I bet he’s an animal in bed. i like that space between his two front teeth, it makes him seem more down to earth, and he’s probably willing to go the extra mile in bed to make up for it. im sad he’s not on that show any more, but hopefully he will do some gay porn eventually.

Hey BG, what happened to the recent blind about the enabling family? What happened to it?

  • I’d go with Gossip Girl. Wasn’t Nick Lachey on the show for a stint? Although calling him a star is comical…

One Tree Hill and Chad Michael. He’s leaving the show. He seemed to have the biggest resume going into the show and then had a brief marriage to the Brooke character in real life as well.

He cheated on Sophia Bush with that underage cheerleader extra though. The cast would have every reason to snub him. This sounds like somebody who was completely innocent.

I’m for Rob Estes on 90210. Firstly he is the bigger name coming into the series. Secondly it would be more logical for the younger cast members to “clique” together versus an older actor.

I’m not with the Jeff Goldblum theory because the you’re dealing with an adult cast who are probably happy (very happy in this economy) at having the show renewed even with a new character. I could understand an individual actor being resentful at not moving up to the lead but that wouldn’t explain why all the others would clique together (especially since the blind indicates the newcomers behavior is blameless).

  • been there done that

i’m totally going with 30 rock. i heard that fey can be a really big BRAT and that she and alec baldwin don’t get along. i think there was a blind a while back about her wanting other cast and crew to pick sides and not talk to the other one if they were talking to her. but that blind could’ve been about some other show too. i guess 30rock

How about someone on True Blood, HBO is a non-traditional network and I could see the cast being very close knit and not letting anyone in, especially if any of them are method actors.

  • Bling

I’m going to throw out Mad Men – AMC highly nontraditional network for a series

  • Spotlite

Could it be Degrassi? The N is as non traditional as you get regarding networks. Plus they have a huge cast which they just added on to so one of them is probably peeved that they havent got screen time or a juicy story line like they used to.

I thought MM too, but Hamm is still the star of the show. Maybe the guy who plays Pete (Vincent Karthesier spelling???), although his role is still pretty substantial. But I’ve read some interviews with him and he does kind of seem like an odd ball. But that said, I don’t think this is him either.
