Because they know there will be a backlash against them for enabling him for years. They had to enable him because they relied on his money. If they admit that they knew these things and didn’t do anything about them, they will never get the kids. And they absolutely want those kids.

UPDATE: This week, Mark Fiddes, one of Michael Jackson’s former bodyguards came forward. Fiddes says that Michael Jackson had a secret affair with Whitney Houston. He confirmed that Jackson was an anorexic drug addict, covered with needle marks, bald and impotent, and he claims that Jackson was fascinated with the Nazis. He also claims to be Blanket’s biological father. From RadarOnline:
Matt Fiddes, a millionaire martial arts master who was Michael Jackson’s bodyguard and confidant for years before his 2009 death, has given a stunning tell-all interview about the King of Pop.
Jackson and Whitney Houston, Fiddes told London’s Sun newspaper, had a torrid affair in 1991 and Michael even wanted them to get married.
“Whitney practically moved in to Michael’s ranch and they had a fling like any other young couple. But Michael said later he had always hoped the relationship had gone further, and I know he dreamed of marrying her,” Fiddes said.
The relationship only lasted two weeks, Fiddes said. A decade later the two had a tearful reunion at a concert in New York celebrating Jackson’s 30 years in music.
“They were both a mess, to be honest. They shared what would be their final hugs and Michael begged Whitney to get off the drugs that were destroying her life,” Fiddes recalled. “The two of them whispered that they loved each other as they hugged. The emotion was written all over their faces.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Whitney had an affair with Michael’s brother Jermaine, in the mid-1980s.
Matt’s revelations don’t end with Jackson’s affair with Whitney.
Fiddes confirmed that Jackson was an anorexic drug addict, covered with needle marks, bald and impotent.
More disturbing, Fiddes said that in Michael’s final years he became fixated on Nazism.
One of people around Jackson, Fiddes explained, “was a racist who filled his head with anti-Jewish propaganda….We got rid of [the person] filling Michael’s head with rubbish, and we were able to ‘re-programme’ his mind so he didn’t think anti-Semitic thoughts.”
Fiddes, who has a worldwide chain of martial arts schools, said that he is Michael’s youngest child, Blanket’s, biological father.
In 2001, Michael asked him for a sperm donation because he wanted “an athletic child,” Fiddes said. He’s now planning to go to court in Los Angeles to ask for a DNA test.
“I only want to see Blanket a couple of times a year. It’s not a custody battle.”

Even if Michael owes $400 million, his kids will be just fine. Sure he did stupid things like pay Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam $100,000 a month rent on a property that should only cost $25,000 a month, but I’m sure he’s worth well over a billion. How else is someone able to qualify for $400 million in credit?
The reason he’s “broke” is he’s out of cash. He does not have liquid assets. But what he does have is a 50% ownership in a company with Sony that was reported to take in $300-500 million a year from their catalog of songs. That alone would should means his assets are worth well over a billion. Let alone his own publishing company that contains all of his own recordings which is making a killing after this death.
Elvis makes more money death than alive, $45-50 million a year. Make Neverland another Graceland.

MJ owned a lot of catalogs. He may have died in a whole lot of debt but he still had a lot of income coming in. The blind item doesn’t really surprise me, though. Deepak Chopra recently came out and said MJ had a drug addiction so I’m assuming some of the other things probably have some truth to them.

Yes they want the kids and the kids should go to them. They most likely will because Debbie was never a part of their lives and claims she doesn’t want them. If no will is provided that specifies a guardian, the court will put the kids with a relative that is closest to their parent. Despite who comes out of the woodwork claiming they are the sperm or egg doner, a court would do everything it can to not disrupt the childrens’ lives and will place them with the father’s side of the family, most likey a sibling given that the parents are so old.
Yeah, Joe Jackson did such a GREAT job raising his kids. Michael, especially, was so well adjusted from the loving home life. From all appearances, Janet seems the most well adjusted (despite her poor judgment at the Super Bowl) “normal” one of the bunch. The kids don’t know anybody except the Jacksons so not only would uprooting them from the only family they know be horrible but splitting the two oldest from the youngest would be tragic. Yet…if Debbie Rowe decides she does want the two children born from her body, she may have a shot. Various media accounts say she never really gave up her parental rights. And if DNA proves that these children are not biologically related to the Jacksons and there is absolutely NO doubt from who’s womb they emerged…well, it’s gonna be ugly. The gold standard is “best interests of the child” but we’ve all read cases of biological mothers coming in and getting custody away from the adoptive parents who obviously loved & cared for the child. — Who suffers? The children. They lost their daddy. I long ago made my decision about what Michael Jackson was. He has to answer to God for whatever sins he may or may not have done. But those kids are pawns in the most dysfunctional chess game one can imagine. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Janet and that the children somehow can heal.

Hi – This morning Debbie Rowe denied that this interview took place with her. Ever. Check Radar & the L A Times’ websites. L A County Coroner’s Office has also denied all reports of autopsy results. But who knows?
Oh and my bet is on Janet. She has already taken control of his estate. She also has no children of her own, is financially capable of taking care of the kids and she seemed to be the closest to Michael.

Yes, but she signed away her parental rights, so she has no claim to them what so ever.
She signed away her custodial rights, not her parental rights so by law should she exert per right to custody she’d have a good case. However the UK article out this weekend, that also says she was a non-jackson sperm recipent, she says she doesn’t want custody.

I thought immediately upon hearing of his death that he likely had an eating disorder. The man was so thin and he died of heart failure – a leading cause of death among anorexics. The schizophrenia would explain the odd behavior. Interestingly, the actor, Roddy McDowall, said that he himself suffered from the, as he called it, ‘Jesus Syndrome’. McDowall said that one day, in his late teens, he woke up and realised that he wasn’t Jesus. Both Jackson and McDowall were child prodigies. Jackson never woke up.

I think there is a bigger truth that led to all this that the family will never leak … Something that happened early in his childhood that caused him to go this route and be this way . Something traumatizing like physical or sexual abuse or both . This family is not normal. When people are so ashamed of the way they look and self medicate to bury ugly truths, its almost positive that something happened
We know MJ was abused by his father when he was a kid, thought that was common knowledge, he revealed it in an interview with Oprah in the 90′s. Very sad.

I fully believed he bleached his skin over time, which is unbelieveably dangerous. I have never seen someone with vitiglio that leaves you the EXACT same color all over your body. I knew people who bleached their skin and couldn’t stand too close to the stove when cooking, as their skin would bubble like hives. Their veins become more visible as well.

MJ’s family and handlers are morally responsible. Here is what should have been done: Involuntary admission to a hospital, medically-induced coma so he could be weaned off all drugs while being fed intravenously. He wakes up a few weeks later and he’s drug-free and 40 lbs heavier. Then I would have said to him: “Now get your a* on stage.” But that’s just me. His enablers killed the Golden Goose. MJ repeatedly said he was abused by his father and now his father and mother want to raise his non-biological kids?
Why is this even a blind item? It’s obviously the Jacksons. The only thing that shocks me is the gay thing. I agree with you lins…I think he was developmentally slow. Not intellecutally as he was very intelligent. He might have always had some underlying condition, but I am sure that his abuse as a child, being forced to work so much at such a young age, all the pressure at such a young age, and probably being exposed at such a young age to things beyond his capacity to understand is what did it. Can you imagine a boy band today, such as the now defunct backstreet boys or nsync, with a little 6-7 yr. old in the group?
I never followed the trials, but I think him getting too close to some of the children (like them sleeping in his bed) was more of him developmentally being at the same age as the other kids. He never saw it as being wrong. As far as molesting? A jury cleared him of all charges so in the eyes of the law, he was not guilty and many reporters who followed the case said they went into the trial thinking he was guilty but at the end felt he was innocent and was being taken advantage of.
anon2 – I completely agree with what you say here. I’ve always thought that, right from the time the accusations were first made. I know if it was my kid, there is no amount of money in the world that would make me stop wanting the person punished if they really did it. I really don’t think it would ever have occurred to him to treat a child in that way – especially since I strongly suspect he may have had somewhat similar experiences himself.

The Jacksons, of course, and Joe Jackson is absolutely disgusting. I can believe that he would enable Satan.
There is a psychological conditon which occurs when a child is placed under a large amount of stress or pressure or a scary situation which basically “locks” their emotional age and prevents them from maturing normally emotionally, cognitavily and psycologically. It’s their way of coping with the situation. The stresser is often sexual or physical abuse, death of a sibiling or parent, family crisis something majorly disturbing or troubling.
I think that is one of the causes of MJ’s behaviour. The childlike “soft” voice, the obession with Neverland (never growing old) and the toys and collections of toys and objects interesting to a child, the whole ranch filled with children, the identifying with children rather than adults, the naming one of his children blanket, the lack of adult behaviour.
He never got past his abuse by his father, which I think was a lot worse than he even revealled to Oprah. This was the cause of him becoming stuck at ages 10.
Honestly, I think the father needs to go rot in h*, a real nasty piece of work, who is itching to get his hands on those kids and make some money.
I have read some accounts that Joe was not only physically abusive, but sexually exploited Michael at a young age as well. Also, there has always been murmurs about Diana Ross taking advantage, too. It truly breaks my heart. I do not believe that Jackson intentionally harmed a child. However, I do believe that his unique situation allowed some greedy parents to zoom in on that weakness and take as much as they could. Michael paid out that settlement because he truly wanted to be left alone- after all, if you are living a troubled life as it is, and someone wants to drag you through hell, would you not want to just make it go away so you can salvage what little personal peace you may have left?

Sounds like MJ to me. I was astonished that his family showed up at an awards ceremony- I just thought it was kind of tacky. All this icon talk- Elvis also died young, but I don’t think that the same revenue will be generated by the MJ estate because of the pedophilia charges. I grew up with MJ, he had ceased to be relevant to me only because after “Thriller”, his albums pretty much sucked. There a couple of songs over the years that were good, but coupled with his nutty persona, I just lost interest. Prince however still resonates with me. I saw him about two years ago and he was great in concert, he never stopped evolving. Michael Jackson, I don’t know, I find it kind of interesting that he is being touted as an icon. I think there will be a huge backlash, if this man was in such poor health why were a series of concerts that would give Madonna pause, scheduled? Think those people are going to get their ticket money back? I think it’s going to be sad to hear what his life was really like, and it will be even sadder to know that there were three young children living in it.
I think Janet was absolutely right for attending the awards. The show itself was a mess, but I was so deeply moved when she appeared on that stage. She did not ramble, preach, or play games. She was truly thankful for that outpouring of support, and she is certainly grieving as a little sister would do for her big brother.

Just to clear this up once and for all; Michael had vitiligo which made him loose skin pigmentation. Its an embarrassing and awful disease, I should know. He was trying to even his skin tone, that’s where the bleaching started. i don’t blame him for this at all, its devastating to see your skin change colour before your eyes, have people stare at you. Its the only way for an african american to deal with the problem short of wearing makeup all over your body every day.

BG, you know you rock!! But, just a minor observation:
If I were MJ’s family, I’d gladly cop to every one of these personality deficiencies/flaws in lieu of having his legacy remain as that of a pedophile. There has been a lot press lately that has gone a long way to disproving those allegations – but in the meanwhile, there has to remain some explanation for his clownishness & immaturity, save for the genuis argument. So, talk about his mental health issues, why don’t you, and let the world in on his frailty as a bonified, human being. I, for one, can emphathize with that.
I am still creeped out by men with a certain look. I still believe in magic and look for fairies. I love to buy toys for my daughter that I would want. Etc… I use to think I was strange. Then I was a a meeting for people who had been sexually abused as a child. The instructor asked us about our childish ways. She said that the age at which you are sexually abused. Is like the age at which a lot of “childish” actions and mannerisms stay with you throughout your life. Now I can look at my life and see all the “child like” qualities I have kept with me all these years. It’s like you get stuck at that age and stop progressing some what. That is exactly what happened to MJ.
True. Your maturation is interrupted, & you become emotionally/mentally stuck at the time that the abuse originated. I know more about this subject than I care to; however, it gave me insight that maybe other people didn’t have into who MJ & his siblings are. Joe Jackson is a tyrant and a bully, who would do anything to maintain control of his family. Consequently, his children are forever impaired, and it pains me now to see the media, yet again, giving him a voice. MJ is not the one who should be dead.
The mofo would do ANYTHING for money. Too bad MJ paid the price.
Believe it or not, with people like Joe Jackson, it is less about money than it is about power & control. Imposing his kind of will on impressionable, young children can be devastating & can take a lifetime to overcome (do you hear me, Katherine!!!). Sadly, MJ ran out of what little of his own will he had left…and time.
btw Secrets, this may not be the proper forum for this comment, but if I may: It takes a lot of hard, painful work that requires crawling through the abuse that stole your childhood in order to really feel whole again. But, if you find a good therapist, please do the work…you’re worth it. And remember to always see yourself in your daughter’s eyes – you deserve taking care of as much as she does.
Totally awesome you got all of this before anyone else. I can only imagine what else there is to be told, and I’m sure there is more. Sad for his children

But think about this: 1 in 10 people are gay. There were 10 Jackson siblings (including Brandon, Marlon’s dead twin) so by this rule, someone in the family has to be. Drop this down to the showbiz rule (1 in 5 people) and this becomes more of a dead cert. Someone’s suppressing something! my two cents: while i think he never really matured, cannot think of him as asexual,not while listening to some of his tunes like Dirty Diana. i think rather he was ridiculously shy and awkward with women and stuck in a teenage frame of mind. MJ and the kids…don’t know too many child molesters speaking out publicly about how much they love children and sleep with them or that quote (not exact) from the Bashir interview where he says he’d die if there were no children left on the planet. think he was a sensitive soul who recognized you’re more or less at your purest as a kid not yet fully corrupted by the harsh outside world. you surround yourself with kids and they really can’t hurt you it’s all fun and games.so never convinced about those allegations. it always comes down to $$ and it’s horrendous that his clan is full of vultures. the gay thing?? plausible but just cannot picture it. call me nuts but listening to his tunes repeatedly i think he swayed towards the females but that he got burned badly, in that one song “Who Is It” you can feel his sadness. the drugs/anorexia/bald totally believable, the poor fellow basically went through life with a gray cloud following him. his kids….Debbie Rowe or his family. both totally unfit to care. that his father is so near them now *shudder*
